Kemper and EHX Synth9/Mel9/Key9/C9/B9

Hi,

I'm planning to buy the EXH String9 pedal but I want to know a few things first from people who own and use one of the already existing EHX pedals (Synth9/Mel9/...).

How do you use the pedal in conjunction with the Kemper? Knowing that:

- I want to be able to use a medium or high gain profile on the Kemper for the guitar, but the synth signal has to stay clean/undistorted;

- I want to be able to play a guitar solo over an EHX pad (using the EHX freeze function);

- I want to be able to hear either the guitar sound, either the synth sound, or a mix between both by maybe morphing between the two sounds with an expression pedal.

One of the ideas I came up with, is:

Guitar -> EHX -> dry signal -> Kemper -> X Module : effects loop -> Send: goes nowhere! (might need a dummy jack) -> Return: synth signal (wet signal from EHX) -> Mod/Reverb/Delay

The mix setting in the effects loop would then allow me to mix between the guitar signal (send) and the synth signal (return).

Would this work? Or do you have another solution implemented to make this work?

yes but if you do that, you can not use any reverb or delay from the post effects section...

You still have Stomp B for totally separate Delay or Reverb if required though.

yeah that's actually a good idea... and I could use the Parallel Mix parameter for morphing between the two sounds.
