I wanna go straight from the Stage Profiler spdif right into my Mac/Garagaband/Logic via USB. I hear y'all are doing it, but what are ya using to do it! Thanks!

I upgraded my Scarlett 212 to a Scarlett 8i6 specifically so I could use SPDIF with my new Kemper into Logic Pro X. The Focusrite Control app makes it simple to set up.

You mean your interface is a usb interface? Just buy spdif cables from the shop where you buy your music stuff. If you want to be able to reamp you need two cables.

I have a nice Apogee Duet 2, but I would rather save a step of A/D conversion and go straight into my Macbook.

That looks nice and simple....considering just mic'n up a small Vox stereo amp I have with the Kemp running in the back of it.

Yes, Scarlett 8i6 is USB.

Looks like the ticket, unless I can find pure SPDIF to USB cheaper...thanks!

You will find that this is more expensive.

I have a very old EDIROL UA-700 interface

You can't go spdif from the kemper-computer without a interface.

I use an SPL Crimson. A very good sounding external USB interface (and more) with coax SPDIF input..

That does look nice, but I already have Duet. I like the sound Kemper gives me out of my little digi amp. I may mic the crud out of it for experimentation's sake and/or try other ways to run the Kemper into the Mac/Ipad. Edit: The Duet, I meant...other ways/settings with the Duet.

That makes no sense. You have a high quality audio interface. Apogees are awesome. Why dont you use it for recording your kemper. ITS MADE FOR THAT..

Ok, just so you know, I have a songwriting and production workflow where I make revision to the songs recorded troughout the year. This makes important for me to record the raw guitar signal everytime I record something. So I always record 3 tracks in my interface, 2 to my instrument inputs for left and right, and 1 digital input trough the spdif In of my interface. This makes easier to choose if later I like the performance but I want to change effects or something, I just reamp trough the spdif out from my interface to the kemper, and again, record trough the line outs of the kemper. The sound quality its better with the line outputs, it looks like the preamp on my interface is better than its DA converter. That is how and why I use the SPDIF

Sounds weird thru the Duet.

Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 for Logic and Mbox Pro 2 for Pro Tools both firewire.
