Check out "Bass transformer" in the RE.Maybe you can tweak it to come close to what you need?Could work even with a Strat..I used this rig a few times for a "quick bass track" when I had no bass at hand.

Thank you my friend for this tip.
Bill Ruppert is really a great expert at eliciting unusual sounds from the KPA.
The two rigs are really useful for single note lines but not for double notes.
Even a little unclean playing with overlapping notes leads to unexpected but unwanted effects.

Played one of those Kala's just a few weeks ago LOL! Weird ass strings but damn it sounded really good - I'm going to get one at some point, can't go wrong for the dough!
-
You meed one of these Harry. It will sound like bass becasue it is a bass but will go in your bag so won’t feel like carrying another instrument to gigs my local shop was selling a used one recently. If they still have it I might just pick one up myself.
-
As a bassist and a guitarist I have to say that there's nothing quite like a real bass. I'm like 2 different people when it comes to the different instruments on purpose. My brain can't cope. It's like wearing ski gear to a surfing contest. ⛷?

Looks nice - do you have a link where to buy
Addition: Just found out it seems there are not frets. Not really something for me .

I am obviously more flexible or possibly more lazy.
For 4-8 songs I don't like to carry an additional guitar with me if there's another way..
Generally the audience doesn't hear that you have other guitars as well at home.

I'm a bassist and guitarist too and I also prefer to carry a bass if necessary although fortunately I only ever play one or the other at a gig. I totall understand Harry's situation though. I would probably also look for a solution if I was playing both on the same gig. At least the Kemper means I would only need one Amp which save carrying a Boogie for Guitar and an Ampeg StackAddition: Just found out it seems there are not frets. Not really something for me .
Damn, I didn't realise that. I always thought they did both but I must have mistaken the marked fret lines for actual frets. Sorry.

Without frets I would surely produce even more wrong notes and how could I finance my occasional GAS attacks?

It looks like the Ashbory in my local shop has been sold anyway. But they now have one of these in used

Nice, but look at the price.
I think, if ever, it will be a bass ukulele for € 150, - or a good profile with the kemper
The new project will not be a rock band as I used to play already now . (This will continue)
It will be more accoustic oriented with cajon, 2 guitars and maybe a keyboard to accompain a singer/songwriter.
-
I know its scary how much they cost. There is a used one for sale for £569 but I don't think even my GAS will stretch to that.

The Ashbory strings are a very sticky silicone. Tony Levin recommends you use talcum powder to reduce friction.
I looked like a Coke fiend covered in powder.

Hahahaha, you crack me up Mudd!!
