I would like to buy a cheap backup rig in case my kemper would fail.
Purpuse is to go direct in foth.
Added time based fx would be great...
Any suggestion ?
Suggestion for a low budget backup rig

Digitech Gsp 1101. A good cheap preamp that isn't that obsolete, mind you.
-
If you can find it second hand, obviously.
-
Line 6 Helix LT probably not low budget enough new, but a good solid backup.
-
I would consider using an Avid Eleven Rack. They can be had cheap new and cheaper used. Tons of patches available and swapping out for the Kemper would be simple unless you have powered unit.
If that's the case, I'd grab a Boss Katana. Totally usable sounds with direct output and a 12" speaker for monitoring. If your whole rig failed this would cover you.
Cheers.

I bought a used Boss GT-100, programmed about 8 different patches and I use it as a back up and for band practice.

Mooer GE-200. I managed to create custom IRs that almost completely reproduce the sound of my kemper rigs. The playing feel and the dynamics surely are not as good as on the KPA, but as a backup this is more than enough.

To add some to the list:
Tech 21 FlyRig
Bluguitar Amp1 -
I recommend the Zoom G3n or G5n. The Mooer sounds not bad, but it doesn't convince me.

Since the GE-200 can load IRs, it can sound like anything you want. The stock cabs are not very good sounding. But like i said if you know to EQ Match the Mooer DI Signal to your Kemper rigs you can create IRs than sound almost identical.

sounds interesting, no doubt. But I think the zoom is sounding great out of the box. And(!) it's a backup, bought in a shop for 139€

Helps if you specify a price range.
I'd grab an AX8, but if cheaper, Line 6 HD500?

Atomic Amplifire (Box or A3), or a Character Series pedal or Joyo equivalent. (Oxford, Leeds, British, etc..)
