Profiling Amp + VSTs

  • Hi,

I have a bunch of paid software like BIAS FX and BIAS Pedal. I was wondering if I could use their EFFECTS in conjunction with the kemper so that the software will provide the effects only while the kemper will provide the amp simulation.
    is such thing possible ?

    would appreciate your advice.

    Thank you.

  • I am not sure if I am understanding you right, but maybe this will help.

As far as I understand, you can profile an amplifier (or virtual amplifier) with drive pedals in front of it, and the profile should come out as an accurate representation of what the virtual amp sounded like with the drive pedal in front of it. You can't profile an amp (or virtual amp) with modulation or delay in the chain and expect the profile to come out properly.

Is that what you were referring to?

  • Yes maorgr, that should be easy to do.

It's all dependant on whether or not you can disable the amp and cab sections of your VSTs. If you can, then of course you'd only be adding their FX. Simply place them on the raw Kemper amp tracks and add FX to taste.
