I would be nice to be able to save a profile (with all the tweaks I have made) directly from Rig Manager.
Maybe a 'save as' option within Rig Manager so you could name the profile accordingly and place within a folder in your Local library.
At the moment the only way to do this is to save on the profiler and then go to the profiler icon and drag the profile to the folder.

admittedly, i'm not entirely sure if I understand you right. In any case, the name of the document which represents a Rig once you export it to your hard disc must not be changed. therefore, a "save as" option in Rig Manager wouldn't be an ideal solution. You can tweak a Rig (rename aspects and fill in tag) and then simply drag it to the desktop. does this help you?
The idea would be:
I combine an Amp with a Cab within the profiler and make all the tweaks with eq I feel necessary.
I then have the option to save direct to a Rig Manager folder instead of to the profiler itself.

As far I know there is not way to transmit the content of the KPA-Editor direct to RM.
You have to store the Rig in the KPA after tweaking before you can transmit it to RM.

I think this would be a good idea. Often times I edit a profile and then I am not really ready to save it on the KPA, but save it for later use
