Wheres all the Gretsch owners at? Whats your favorite profiles? I just got a 6120ssu and trying to get that Setzer/Stray Cats tone
Calling All Gretsch players!

I use a modified Gundy Keller rig live for a couple of heavier Setzer tones.
It's a freebie and you should be able to find it on the rig exchange.
I changed its name on my KPA so can't remember what it was originally called but you should find it easily...I think it might have "Straydogs" in it.BTW, I use a Setzer Hot Rod and a White Falcon through mine.

Thx Gizmo, I found it

It sounds great!!! -
Gretsch player here, with a couple of pro line guitars and only got the Kemper 2 months ago.
Purchased a bunch of commercial rigs and looking for magic combinations. So far I love the TAF Falcon set, the Dirty Chirley, the JCM800. Especially the clean-to-crunch sounds, on mostly bright and marshally amps.

The JCM800 clean sounds fantastic -
Yes, fully agree. Which was a pleasant surprise for me. Matches really well with the gretsch character.

Hi ! I've been profiling extensively for semi hollows and full hollows , since I wasn't really satisfied with the profiles I could test, resulting in a great pack, but it's a commercial one.
freebies on the rig exchange : AMT.JB.chordal from WarabA
Anyway , you can check the pack for free and listen to clips on this thread

NEW Gundy Keller 'Signature' tones video - Brian Setzer -
I've got a White Falcon and play through MBritt's profiles. I use his AC30 profiles but for a long time I was playing the Princeton profile - it is awesome for a clean/mild breakup fender sound.
-
I just alter one of the many good bassman profiles ...and stick a nice slap on before the amp stack ....love FW 4
-
I play the punky, crunchy Gretsch Tim Armstrong, so I guess I do not count here.
(Just in case: it responds extremly well to the original Kemper AC30 Nashville and many of the Fenders and Marshall combinations. I also tried the Gundy Keller Brian Setzer Signature mentioned above: convincing for me, but no exactly my style)

I have great expectations for the upcoming verbs & delays, we'll surely have some new tools to build up our 50's, 60's, blues , rockabilly & jazz tones

TAF Super 1624 Push, Supro Amps Sound awesome
The Showman from the BM Pack
The Metropolus Amps from the Wagener Pack
Also check the Acoustic "Boss AC 3" from the Rig Exchange for Acoustic Guitar Simulations you shouldn't miss them or better take them as a starting point for your modifications. They sound great with my 6120 1959LTV.
or just search for "Acoustic" in the Rig exchange -
Been messing with the "californication" profile and getting some great tones from that also
its a 1967 fender bassman and it sounds amazing -

There's a "Rockabilly" (Gibson Amp) Profile, I guess by M. Franzkowiak.
I use it with a Treble Boost and/or a Pure Boost and it sounds terrific with my Setzer Hot Rod Gretsch.
I think it's way more authentic than the Gundy Keller Profile.Tell me, what you think about it!
