I'm seriously afraid if I buy this I will do more tweaking than I do already. But very tempted! why wouldn't you just use this to go through every profile you have an see if (name 1-10 cabs) sound better than what you have now?
Lots of time potentially wasted.
Seems like with profiles you either have to have the attitude that the profile as is is as it should be and embrace or discard it or, #2, be a tweaker and mess with cabs/amp settings etc. and spend a lot of time messing with the profile to make each sound what seems right to you. I'm more of #2, which scares me about getting more cabs since I already do this too much.
any thoughts about this?
It´s mainly a matter of how you like to approach a sound. Imo, exchanging cabs is the perfect way to NOT have to tweak anything. Either i select a cab that i like, lock it, and then just browse quickly through all kind of rigs until i am completely satisfied. Or the other way round, i have a amp that i like, and just exchange the cabs. It takes just some minutes and you may end up with a new rig that even sounds better than both components on their own. However, the most important thing is that you completely rely on your ears. Way too many players are fixed on certain brands or amps and simply do not really listen...
