Have you used any overdrive in front of the amp?

I think Chuck used just guitar plugged into his amp. Yes, for me the sample I made sounds little dark compared to what I hear on CD. Maybe it is about cabinet and/or placing mike? I downloaded some Marshall 1960 4x12 T75 impulses and converted them to *.kipr cabinets. Now it sounds brighter. I will make new sample to compare. -
Here are 3 samples of Deadlight's 8080 Valvestate:

Does anyone know which speakers are in the TillS 006 cab? Are they T75? I found some 4x12 T75 impulses and converted them to *.kipr cabs. Anyway among them there is much difference, some sound good for this amp (scooped, tight) some sound nasal, some with mids upfront. This is the same cab. Just different mic placement.

I'm so torn for sounds since I could like them all! But I've messed with this file alot and aside from adding some eq I think I prefer the original even vs. the tills cab. The cab adds a more 'in the room sound' and presence which is nice but the dark sound of the original is also nice. Like so many profiles, it's so hard to choose.
I recently checked out some of KOSTENS stuff and he has tons of profiles with different cabs and minute changes and it's so hard to choose one when they are all so good in different ways.

I know he uses the Original Valvestate cab with the same speakers as i used and yes i used a Tubescreamer...Chuck did use Tubescreamers also. Without a Tubescreamer the Valvestate is darker, muddier..and has much to less gain.
But yes - my guitar in my sample sounds much brighter than your guitar, even closer to the original sound although its a emg guitar and not a one with X2Ni have much more profiles of that amp..different settings, different micing..even without Tubescreamer...to me that one sounded the closest
without Tubescreamer and full gain on amp, the profile had gain about 6,5 only -
Please send me a recorded DI track i can try to do a free Custom Profile that fits more your guitar
