Is it possible to use KPA in your DAW like you do with a modeler? What I mean is the track that's recorded in you DAW is just the dry guitar, then you can flip through different sounds on KPA while the dry track is being fed to the KPA?

Sure it is! You can use S/PDIF (and record the dry and the processed track on its channels) or use the Direct Output socket along with the Monitor out (mono) or the Main out (mono pr stereo) if you want/need to go analog. See the manual for further details

It's called re-amping and yes, the Kemper even features dedicated reamping controls in the form of re-amping sense and selectable SPDIF input.
