Mhhh... I was referring to the double preamping due to the mic pre in the mix desk.
As for the S/N ratio... I guess you meant it was high?
Yep, sorry, too much beer at rehearsal this night....

FOH refused to go direct out of the Kemper for me yesterday. Was telling me for like 10 minutes that he was experiencing guitarists using all sort of modelers and it all sounded like crap. Well, it was a festival, so no time to discuss. Played the Kemper through poweramp and cab then. I guess he didn't even notice
Well, this thread is a bit old now, but I thought maybe someone is interested. We finished editing some of our live recordings from that gig. It's nowhere to be seen in the video, but the right guitar in the mix is the Kemper used as described in the quote.
Nice sound!!! so in the end are you saying it was straight out of the main outs to FOH

No. It was Kemper to the poweramp of my Engl head (with Cabsim off in Kemper), to Engl standard 4x12" cab miced with a SM57. Not the optimal way, but worked fine as far as my ears can tell.
I've just thought of a great new business model. Supplying walls of fake Marshall stacks (empty amps and cabs – just the shells) to Kemper users playing live.
I want one... been looking for ages !
Apparently they do exist and are around, some were on eBay back in march 2013. I guess keep an eye on eBay...
Might be cool to have one! But, I must say I do enjoy the reactions of people to my Powerhead when they experience it for the first time... maybe when I get tired of that I'll begin looking seriously...
