Hi
is there some upgrade for the former users ?Thx
yes there is. you should have received a mail about that months ago if you bought the first pack. If not, pm me...
Great tones and great playing too in your YT video!
I noticed you mention using a Rivera Rockcrusher. I recently tried creating a profile of my JTM45, running through a Fryette Power Station PS2 attenuator into a Marshall cab. Results were really bad. Kemper Support told me by email they advise against using attenuators. So I took mine out of the connection, tried again running the JTM45 loud, it created a superb profile.
I haven’t tried the Rockcrusher, but given that it’s an attenuator, you’ve done well getting such good results.
thank you. I also used the Kemper DI box in combination on most profiles, and before that also the Behringer red box. That's how it worked better.
If you like Ritchie Blackmore's sound from the era of Deep Purple Mark I, II, III, and of Rainbow's first two album, check out these profiles! They were made from a very rare Marshall Major amp.
More info here: More Black Pack - Flying Snowman Productions
and here: YouTube
This pack contains over 200 profiles (!) that try to simulate Ritchie Blackmore's sounds during his years with Deep Purple (Mark II and III) and Rainbow. These are profiles of a very rare Marshall Major 200W Model 1967 amp from 1971-1972 in excellent condition. There were only 1200 copies made of this amp, and only a few are still in good condition, worldwide. The best is to play these rigs on a Strat, although many profiles also sound great on a Les Paul! This amp was also used by Mick Ronson, Stevie Ray Vaughan and John Frusciante. These profiles sound the best on a FR speaker because the H55 speaker is an integral part of the unique sound, and for some song profiles, IR's were created and converted into Kemper cabinets. You will not find this kind of profiles anywhere else because there are so little Majors left in good condition! I checked it out and couldn't find any, that's why I decided to profile it myself. Furthermore, it was not an easy task to get the right ingredients for Ritchie's sound... Every component in the sound chain had to be the right one. It took me years of experimenting with amps (Vox, Marshall Vintage Modern, and the Major), treble boosters and speakers to obtain this result.
The material that was used for making this pack, is the following:
a very rare Marshall Major 200W Model 1967 amp from 1971-1972
Good vintage tubes (preamp and power tubes)
A Hornby-Skewes clone treble booster to emulate sounds during the period of Deep Purple Mark II
An AIWA TP-1011 clone to emulate sounds during the period of Deep Purple Mark III and the first two Rainbow albums
The Rivera Rockcrusher to reduce the volume at speaker level
A Scumback H55 30 Watt speaker
A 1970's Marshall checkerboard 1960B 4x12 cabinet with PR-H55 pre-Rola 1969 55-Hz Pulsonic 014 cone Celestion G12H 30 watt speakers Stamped T1281
Shure SM57 and Sennheiser MD421 microphones
These profiles were made with firmware 8.5.8. Your KPA must be using 8.5.8 or later to use these profiles.

Kemper Packs Testimonies (Volume 1) :
Suseguitar from Kemper forum:
I had a chance to play one of the profiles (037508) yesterday in our rehearsal room, played my Strat with Quarterpounds - the solosound is just awesome, assertive, supporting and inspiring. Great work!
Ibot39 from Kemper forum:
After testing the profiles my conclusion is: The pack does exactly what the author is advertising. You get the Blackmore sound from the mentioned era. Humbuckers are possible, other 70s rock-sounds with a little tweaking. But the real soul of this pack is authentic Blackmore-tone! For this it was created with an ear for details and this is were the rigs shine! Thanks for the nice pictures that complement this special pack. I have to highlight the pdf that comes with the profiles offering very detailed information. Great!
Laker from Kemper forum:
These profiles are the real deal IMHO.
Riddlescott from Kemper Forum:
I like it the better the longer i play it. What i also appreciate is the tasty effects settings. Highly recommended for the real Marshall Bluesy Staccato Strat Sound.
raiellojr from Kemper forum:
I like the pack a lot...a little tweaking and I can get real close to your sound samples.
Laker from Kemper forum:
Blackmore Marshall Major profiles [Flying Snowman Prods] - Only the one amp a Marshall Major but it sounds like the real deal. These profiles are outstanding. Everything they make sounds great. What I really like about them is their sound samples sound just like what you download. IMHO a lot of other profilers do not sound the same.
Acolbourn from Kemper forum:
Thanks for the tips, just wanted to follow up for any else on the hunt for Frusciante tone. For profiles I tried flying snowman's more black pack listed above and they sound great!
Razorpig55 from Kemper forum:
I spent a ton of time searching for the right “blues” tones and happened on your site. I really love the pack ('60 Pack) I downloaded, especially the FS ’60 B1001pa......nice, crunchy and just a bit mellow. I’m going to post your site on the reddit site for Kemper.......have a great one thanks for the great tones.
Kungsmas from Kemper forum:
Extremely great stuff. Among the best vintage Marshall profiles ever.
ROCK ON
Michael Worsnup from Facebook Group "Kemper Tips and Tricks":

Milano (per email):
Thank you for providing this great product. The profiles are really good, great job man! Shoot me a message when MORE BLACK PACK 3 releases, I'll be first in line to buy it from you.
Timothy (via mail):
You really did an excellent job. I'm working through the profiles and am very impressed!
BadBadger from Kemper forum:
Great tones and great playing too in your YT video!
@stevegardiner8473 on YouTube:
These profiles sound really close to the original tones.
If this stick has even been plugged into a running PROFILER it should work.
That didn't work for me The stick works on my toaster but not on the Player.
I formatted another stick and this one works with your new instructions.
Thanks for the solution.
I had to do a reset. My player was new and I didn‘t had made a lot of with it. So I was not affraid to loose something.
Press and hold GAIN and RIG VOLUME for 5 seconds.
After this I could use a stick that previously doesn‘t worked.
Thanks. Tried that, didn't work.
Same issue here. Tried two different sticks, both formatted in FAT32 (one of 2 GB and one of 32 GB). The 32 GB USB stick is also used for my Profiler. On the player, there's red lights that start flashing and no backup is taken on the stick.
Tried a third stick now, still the same problem

M Vave Chocolate should work too.. If I find the video again, I will link it. Comes around 30 EUR.

I use a 16€ OTraki and don't experience any issue.
Thanks!
Hi,
Does anyone have a list of compatible USB A to MIDI interfaces for the Player? I have an old Edirol but don't know if it will be compatible (my Player hasn't arrived yet...)
Thanks
You would have to use midi. Only one exp port available. Or use a volume pedal and have the rig turn on the wah when you switch to it. You can set it up so that when the way is active the pedal will act like a wah not a volume pedal
I think I will just use my real CryBaby wah...
is it possible to add both an expression pedal (for wah) as a foot switch (for tap tempo)? how?
please, make at least one liquid profile and maybe we will achieve some nice results with one of the Marshall stacks inside the Kemper… I think there is no problem to try it, is it? 😉
Hi Hallan, Actually you can do that yourself. Look this up in the manual:
KEMPER PROFILER Addendum 10.2 (English)
What is new in version 10.0 - chapter "Retrofitting to a Liquid Profile"
Choose the profile that gets you the closest to your liking. The settings are documented in the readme file that you downloaded together with the profiles. You will need that to make the liquid profile. Then, following the instructions. Since there is no tone stack (amp model) for the Major, I would choose something like the Mars Plex model. But again, it will not be exactly the same as the Major. Kemper needs to release a Major amp model for that, which I don't think they will do.
Hi, will there be some update with liquid profiles? would be awesome
thanks
Hi Hallan,
Believe me, if there was a possibility, I would have done it already!
The problem is that Kemper releases the tone stack (or not), which is necessary to be able to make liquid profiles.
And the tone stack is different per Marshall model.
As the Marshall Major was quite unique and not comparable to other Marshall models, you cannot use the tone stack of another Marshall Major because the results will not be authentic - they will sound nothing like the original amp. I guess Kemper didn't release this tone stack because of the fact that the Major was out of production quite quickly, and there have only been a few thousands released... And most of them are not even working anymore.
Really sorry, I wish I could help... Better to ask Kemper.
Then use the mooer. In either case, I'm done with this thread. I told you how to do it, and you don't want to do it. You want someone else to do it. I'm done.
If you read the previous posts, you can see that I know how to do it with a DAW and I did that before. But you can never be accurate enough with the Studio EQ in the Kemper.
Since I have the Mooer, it's really much easier. All I'm asking as a new feature in this thread, is to have that EQ in the Kemper itself, instead of having it in an external pedal. Not very complicated by request, is it? Many thanks for your advice.
Create 2 DI tracks. One with one guitar, and one with another guitar. Follow the steps for EQ tone match, and get the EQ from one guitar to the other, and do the same thing the other way around, from guitar 2 to guitar 1.
You will get an EQ that is applied for the tone match. Create a studio EQ on the Kemper, using the EQ from guitar 1 to guitar 2, and name it whatever you want as a preset. For example, Hum2SingleEQ. Place that EQ in the stomps side (pre-side), and see how that works for you.
That's basically what the mooer pedal is doing. Creating an EQ tone match.
yes we know that. but the mooer makes the process easy. and it would even be easier if that feature was implemented in the kemper. As a next step to profiling (and liquid profiling), "guitar" profiling.
I heard something about a tool for this kind of needs
Never had it or even tested
Yes I read about it. it does that and much more. a bit expensive though - the mooer tone capture gtr is all I need. But it would be nicer if it was implemented in the kemper's eq presets (no extra pedal / fx slot needed in that case)
Hey guys, thanks for your answer. I did all those things that you suggest in my DAW. What I'm trying to achieve here, is to make a guitar pickup sound less or more like another one. It's so much easier to do that with my mooer pedal than with my DAW. And my goal is to bring only one guitar (maybe 2 in case a string break - not spring break 😂)
Something like the Mooer Capture Tune GTR pedal... Sample one guitar, and use a second one to simulate the sound with the Match EQ (saved as a EQ preset). Without using a DAW.
