My secret setting is Cabinet Character at +5. On some rigs, in a band practice context, it feels sort of like EQing down the low bass frequencies for clarity.

FWIW, I've tried my Digitech Hardwire delay/looper after the Kemper and it sounds good too. ie between my Kemper and a DXR-10.

Hi, Just wanna mention that I really like the sound of my Aphex Guitar Xciter between my Kemper and my powered Yamaha DXR10 powered speaker. Adds a natural-sounding oumph that EQ can't do imo.
-
I also go back and forth between my cab and my DXR. I'm in a DXR phase now. For the DXR, I find i like using the studio eq to remove a deep narrow notch at about 370 hz. Dunno. I noticed that by adding a narrow notch at that freqency, the DXR sounded boxy. So i exagerated by removing a notch there.

Hey, If anyone has a clean booster, try it in a loop in the effect section. Just around unity gain. Lower the amp volume if required. Adds a marvelous je ne sais quoi imo. My speaker is a Yamaha DXR10 that I just got a few weeks ago. Yes, I'm in the club now too.
I just remember that my XC Booster was modded to have its 4 diodes changed to one bigger one, but i never heard a difference then. -
thanks for the replies. i inserted a green screamer, locked it in place, and scroled through the gain zero amps. Great sounds!

Hi all, I'm looking for some more clean-on-the-verge-of-breaking-up rigs. Does anyone use the rigs that have their preset gain at zero and crank them a little? BTW, does anyone use rigs with the gain remaining at zero?

Hi, I love my Fulltone 70 fuzz in front of the KPA. Not as a booster, i leave it on all the time, and keep my guitar volune rolled down a bit. Gives great hendrix-like clarity and sustain without common flutyness of a fuzz maxed out. The Fuzz DS in the KPA doesn't have a low enough setting for this imo, but it is a very good booster for me on top of the Fulltone 70 in front.

Nice triple neck guitar!

I like to quickly audition amps with Clarity set at maximum and Definition set to minimum. It would be fun to be able to lock those while changing amps.

Hey Jero, For saving space, i have a standard 4x12 that is usable with my amp heads. Then i have a smaller box with a piezo horn that i put on top for when using it with the Kemper with cabs on. The horn's wiring jack puts it in series with the cab. My cab has the JH Greenbacks. No crossover. Pure luck. Sounds sooo good to me.

I think a good sheet music stand (lutrin) that has a swivel angle adjustment could be tricked up to work.

Beauty! Original frets and fret-end binding nibs?

I listened three times, and to the song2, and i couldn't hear it. But my sound system is only so-so. Made me wanna practice though! I'm a noob too, but would the balance of input senses (clean and dist) help blending overtones? Btw, i love the new 2.4 cab parameters for ajusting "overtones" (if that's what they're called.)

Anyone else find that the output is a little hotter after installing this? ie the output LED gets peaky (red) on rigs that it wasnt red before. I dont think i hear anything displeasing - limited TOK (time on Kemper) so far. Overall i LOVE what i hear! I'll snoop and see if any embedded volume levels got reset. If not, i'm fine with editing my rigs to lower the volumes. Another clue, my previos OS may not have been up to date.

Or to sound like amp in the room, go for a guitar cab and leave the cab sim on, and wire a piezo horn in parallel with the guitar cab.

I've used a little Bass Cube. It had a AUX IN jack. Sounded pretty good. Nice speaker with a whizzer tweeter. The small one wasn't loud enough for monitoring in a band though.

String cleaner? Energy drink? Beer shot?

I simply placed a Piezoelectric Compression Driver Coupled in a Dispersion Horn in series on top of my openback cab with two Celestion g12t-75's. I took it out of a Squier SQ12M.
The Kemper cab profiles remain ON, like for FRFR speakers. The combination sounds great! IMHO much better than any cab alone, and it has more room mojo than my good monitors. I'm gonna box this and market it as "Cab Saver"!
