I noticed the DI reamped track has slightly less gain than the original track (with the same profile of course)...

I'm having the exact same problem, as described here.

so, maybe its time to assume that's spdif implementation on komplete6's end, and try different audio interfaces?
I use logic and will check when I get back home Friday. My reamp experience has been good to date. What audio interface are you using on your DAW?
im using native instruments komplete audio 6
how did You to rec the DI signal? SPDIF Output setted as git Studio or Git/Stack?
exactly, Git / Stack, this way i record 2 tracks at same time, one with input of L spdif and other with R spdif.
so everyone is obviously not having this kind of problem.
if anyone is reamping with logic, could post here their channel routing setup ? many thanks
The problem is not solved, i still have less gain on the reamp, does anyone have this ? how are other people's setup on reamping? thx
if i send the out to kemper in mono i dont get sound back from kemper.
i have to use stereo and hard pan to left. it has a much lesser difference now, just tad bit less gain now, if i give +3db to the di track i think i get the same result as original.
you are right about pan law, just noticed now from the picture, the channel is mono but im sending in stereo to the kemper (5-6) instead of mono to 5 , ill post feedback.
I don't hear less quality, I hear less gain. Maybe you somehow sent a weaker signal back to the Kemper? Pan law?
i see... but all channels are mono, i didn't touch the faders and i can't setup spdif levels because im stuck with default options for spdif connections on osx, what could it be that is changing the gain?

I'm having a big difference between the dirty sound from spdif while recording realtime versus recording via spdif reamping when using the same di recorded the first time.
At the first recording i've recorded both the di and distorted sound Guit/Stack:
DI -> https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/475088/reamp_di.mp3 ( via spdif Guit )
DIRTY ->https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/475088/reamp_wet_realtime.mp3 ( via spdif Stack )
After that i've used the recorded DI and send again to kemper and re-record dirty:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/475088/reamp_wet_reamped.mp3 ( via spdif Stack )
As you can clearly see the reamped one has less low end and less overall quality.
- Clean Sense and Distortion Sense are at 0 in Input Menu.
- SPDIF Volume is 0.0db at Master Menu
- Volume is at middle
- Master Volume is at 10
Why?
THanks
+1 request for slave mode
I also thought of that nakedzen.
I will try it today. tx
This is my setup:
Kemper -> Monitor Out -> Velocity 120 PowerAmp -> 2x12 v30 cab
I'm micing the cab to daw, but i want to profile the sound im getting from my cab so i can record at night.
I've never profiled an amp so is this possible, and if so, it's the regular procedure from the manual?
Thanks guys
I'm the guy with only 1 guitar btw...
Hi thanks!
There is a direct monitoring tool, called vsl mixer, if i turn the knob all way down, i hear direct monitoring, if the other way i hear the daw sound. If i monitor presonus input there is less degradation than logic input but direct KPA to KRK is still the best. I think that may be related to cables..
I used these cables to directly connect the KPA to KRK ( http://www.thomann.de/pt/cordial_cfm…kexlr_kabel.htm ) maybe I should use a pair of these too to connect KPA to PS? I'm using standard guitar cable now...
I would like to be able to bypass the preamps, I think the cables im using are making the PS unit to think that's a guitar input thus forcing me to use the preamps to boost the signal.
thanks
Hi guys, this is also my first post here.
I'm a recent kemper owner, and my current setup is:
kpa -> presonus 22vsl -> logic -> krk rp6
im using standard guitar cables on master output to the audio interface.
today i've tried to connect the kemper unit directly to the krk for a frfr setup and the sound is much better than using the audio interface. can i bypass the gain from the preamps from the presonus so the signal is the clearest possible from the kpa to the presonus? would this be solved if used spdif on a different interface?
thanks!
