Ordered a seymour powerstage 700 to power my Kemper Stage unit. . Need advice on what ohms should I wire a 4x12 cabinet using "2" of the Celestion F12 -x200 and "2" of the F12-150 in X pattern? Would it be wise to wire cabinet with 4 & 8 ohm selector switch? Future proofing in mind adding say another 1x12 cab that may be rated at 16ohms? OR, another cab rated at 8ohms. CORNFUSED..lol...IT's Alive......
What is best ohms for a frfr 4x12 cabinet?

No reason for another cab if you go 4 ohms = 700 watts.
4 ohm wiring from the Kemper manual...

One thing to note is that with normal amp cabinets and speakers, higher ohm cabinets typically have a little brighter sound. That is why some amp manufacturers use 16 ohm speakers. It keeps the bottom end a little tighter and gives a little more sparkle on the top end. 8 ohm is the middle of the road and is also commonly used. 4 ohm will be the darkest and usually the lowest most manufacturers will go. You need to have an amp specially designed for a 2 ohm load to go down that low. You can damage the amp if it is not designed to handle that low of a load.
