I have a pretty hard pick attack -maybe Zakk Wylde-ish so I've been told. The problem is that I like to dig in on leads, but when using "any" Kemper profile, my notes sound a bit spongy and phasey. If I use a lighter attack then the notes sound stellar but it feels so unnatural for me to lighten up.
Is this common with modelers?
Is there a "global" setting I can use to resolve this?
I've tried the Pick parameter and have it set for `2.3 for the amps module. It helps a little but not as much as I need. I am also using Jazz III picks and Tortex Flows to keep minimal pick area on the strings.
I don't have this problem on SS or tubes amps, at least I haven't noticed it. But I do practice with those amps at a much higher volumes.
