Kemper cannot format usb stick

Hi guys

Just got my kpa yesterday and loving it so far. I'm having an issue however, in that the kemper refuses to format my newly aquired (for this purpose especially) usb thumb drive (8gb). It just says basically "error, try another usb device" which I will, but has anybody found a solution to this? Thanks.

I've had a similar issue with an 8 gig, then tried with smaller size sticks and they all work fine, not sure if the problem was the drive, or the KPA, maybe there is a size limit?

I use a 16GB one, not an issue.

I had to try 5 USB sticks before I found one that worked!

Same here, my large capacity sticks don't work properly. I'm using 16MB SD card with USB adapter, that seem to work. Heh, my e-cigarette doesn't work with KPA USB port either.

Hi,

the stick has to be formatted in the old FAT format. you can try this first.
right mouse-click and format, choose FAT ...
sometimes this helps

I Use A 16GB stick - No Problemas
