Display Morehey Matt, here's aquick feedback
I only playedthrough headphones so far, so I won't comment on live sound. I'm joining a newband at this time and don't have much time to test sounds during rehearsals butthis is where I will have my expectations in the end.
BE100 is a killerone, no surprise for you, I really enjoyed the cleans with my PAF LP (thenon-fat ones) and the BE are a bullseye for heavy rn'r tones. I am impressed ofhow articulate they are.
I haven't played thedumble much, I assume this was a clone ODS amp. It sounds great for homeblues-rock.
The Buddha is anamazing one. I am in love with the vintage MG profile. Variations are sooo goodwhen playing with the volume pot. I spent hours on it. Cleans up very well andexcellent alternative tones below 5 going heavier almost modern at full voume.
The Supro is stillpuzzling me. I could only dial something from the first profile, (as far as Iremember, I don't have the name here I am at work), others are clean ones ordialed so bassy that I can't use them, even on the bridge PU with tone at 10.But that first one sounds lovely when rolling back the gain to 5, that's thesupro tone.
What I love aboutthem is that they have their coloured tones and I have the feeling that I'mplaying a boutique amp. My very favourite ones used to be Mbritt's twin, AC30and plexi but they are standard rock tones regardless of how good they are. Ialso love some TAF boutique tones I have but they are not best suited for live.So there's a gap to fill and I'm looking forward to this.
Last comment, why doyou name all 'salvation something'? That's too large for the kemper screen andthat's the last digits which are important to know what profile it is. I had torename all, ha!
cheers
Thanks Pamplemousse! I appreciate the time you took in your review...Glad you dig the BE, it's hard not to like that one....The HumbleOD is a fun one, I think you'll enjoy it....Buddha is a gem for sure....Supro confuses me too....I didn't quite know what to do with that one....I'll likely take another stab at that one again...
Lastly, THANKS for the tip regarding titles. I call them Salvation XXX because that's the company that built a lot of the amps I profile. The BE100, Hammersmith, Orange Rocker, HiWatt, and several others are the actual amp...But in many cases the tones come from these:
I will retitle my new profiles to be shorter, great tip! Thanks!
