Subject pretty much asks the question - is there any way to tell cosmetically or on boot up whether a Kemper is a powered or unpowered version?
Thanks!

Certainly with a Toaster (I've not had a rack) there's a gert great hole in the back where on the powered version there isn't - plus there's a "Speaker" output. There's also a poweramp boost setting in the Output menu that's only there on the powered version..
On the back there is a speaker output for the powered kemper.
The speaker-output on the back that is secured with a red plastic nut is a clear indication that you're dealing with a powered profiler, regardless of whether it is a head or a rack-model.
The unpowered are very very quiet when you connect a cab....:;-)
