Hesu cabs 1x12 review

    I'm sure most of you know this company from youtube fame. I was looking for a cheap 1x12 for home use, looked through all the usual suspects, Harley Benton et al chinese :thumbdown: .

    Then I happened to check Hesu's website for prices, 1x12 for 170 euro incl. shipping! That's just nuts. So I wasn't expecting much. I was very happily mistaken.

    So the review:

    Fit & finish:
    Handmade in Poland. Extremely high quality, cannot spot any flaws. The back plate is so tightly measured I had trouble getting it off, no chance of air leaking through there. Fully made from thick birch ply. I'd compare the quality to be equal to the Mesa and VHT/Fryette cabs I've owned. Which cost 3x more.

    The cab arrived with all jacks and wires assembled, ready to just pop the speaker in.

    Sound:
    Very impressive, has a warm and full sound even with very low volume with a Mesa Vintage Black Shadow I put in the cab. Not even an idea of fizz or harshness what you usually get with low volume.

    Service:
    Fast, polite and pleasant!

    Hesu cabs sounds good IMO, tested 3 diff constructions. Ended with my Custom Hesu 212 cab loaded with Hesu Demon Speaker and Celestion V30. Cab sounds "deep" with nice midrange. @nakedzen try also David Laboga cab - if you like Mesa cabs sounds IMO only DL sounds very close to Mesa cabs but not the same. Anyway good choice for that price Have Fun!

    What do you think of the Hesu speakers, which Celestion would you say is the closest?

    Demon speakers sounds more tight and brighter compared to V30. TBH dont like this speaker alone, but with V30 kills. Maybe next time i do some comparison V30 vs Demon in my Hesu Cab. But for sure cant use same mic pos on both. :D
