I am impressed... these are all strong profiles! Nicely done - "Abyss" and "American Metal" are instant faves. Please fill out the all the tag fields, including the cabinet ones. It's a pain, but for commercial profiles it's expected and as with liner notes I like reading 'em!
long overdue demo - played through every profile. Raw guitar. All crunch lab bridge humbucker in a EBMM JP6. See the track comments for which profile is which. Killer TOANZ. playing...not so much...
my favorites... well pretty much all of them. gun to my head top 3 - JP rhythm, precision metal, tight mark
but between the clean, crunch, rhythm, and solo profiles, you could easily record a whole album with just this pack without ever touching a dial.
Great stuff man thanks for taking the time to post up clips of the profiles. Gotta say I love all the clean tones i've heard and im stoked to see them translating so well to every other guitar/setup. I'm a big fan of lush clean tones so Abyss and Dream Clean are my go-to tones right now.
How are you digging the crunch lab/liqui combo in the JP6 btw? Mine has the original Dimarzios.
No problem. I also love these cleans. I was a big fan of the spankin clean the mark iv can acheive, and the effects just make it perfect.
I love the cl/lf. Theyre a bit less bass and more mids. Seem clearer overall than the originals. Never regretted making the swap. Just need to find a use for the old pickups now...
Yes, the effects in this package are "Pre-Eerified" on the cleans, perfect for creepy Metal Intros or interludes.

Oh you actually had the original customs in before the CL/LF? Awesome! First time I can actually get an opinion off somebody that's had both. I've been on the fence about swapping them out...
Creepy metal clean intro's FTW!
yes, got my ebmm jp in 2002 - original run. i switched about 2 years ago. do it - you won't be disappointed. they're more midsy and lass bassy, but they're still balanced. they're not as mid-spiky as some dimarzios. i think they're pretty much perfect. I have D-Activators in my 8-string and those are bit more spiky. Still love them in that guitar, but prefer something more balanced in the jp 6 string.
You can hear it in my clips of your profiles - the crunch lab isn't bass-deficient or overly midsy. you get the thick low end, and the cleans aren't harsh. everything was done on the bridge pickup, with a few switches to neck for the lead profiles.
Good call, I think less bass would be perfect with these. Any comment on the newer Illuminators?
Nope. Never played. Doesnt he use different ones on the majesty model as well?
Ive never played anything better than the cl/lf (but thats not saying a whole lot). I do want to try gravity storms in my jem clone when i can finally finish it. Ive heard those are really awesome.
I think it's still the Illuminators in the majesty but I could be wrong...I bet they all sound different degrees of awesome anyway
Not sure if I mentioned before but Aborted are using these profiles live right now!

The bump worked. Got my attention! Nice sound...
Best Mark IV profiles available IMHO and even best Mesa Boogie MARK serie commercial profiles out there, you have the chunky tone in low end and the creamy in the B string and High E string.
Moreover they are merged. I highly recommend them...
My fav profile stays Thumas TSM7 I tweaked and one of mine, but some profiles in this pack come very close for JP leads for instance.
