For me, most of the built in presets don't sound that great.
Having said that, with tweaking, the potential is there to create a pretty good representation of almost any guitar tone you can think of.
The golden rule with any piece of music gear is to use your ears, and that will tell you what sounds good. So far I've made/ saved some very useable Pink Floyd/U2/Police type patches, as well as a good bass and acoustic patch. I'm gradually going to delete any patches that I don't want or need, and have a good number of useable, good sounding presets to hand.
I find the usability to be pretty easy too.
Overall, it's a winner.

be careful what you delete because once you learn more about the machine and get used to mixing and matching amps and cabs you will find that pretty well any profile can be turned into something good and usable. glad you are liking the kemper anyway.

i really love the "Sultan" factory preset for a lot of things, especially with my framus diablo with neck singlecoil combinded with Bridge humbucker (toggle in middle Position)
great for funk and single note background rhythm
