Hi Is your firmware still being worked on or is it better to try using tune's work?

I just installed it on my mini6 and inorder to get the bidirectional (Hold down stomp A) I had to rename the tuner bmp to TunerSprite.bmp


It seems to be working but I have not tested it long. -- Are there are known issues with the build?

If you are still working on it... Is it possible to get support for the Midi Captain 10?

Thanks for the hint of the file name.

I have recordnized a change in Kemper firmware v12. After booting KPP it is sending a massive amount of messages. So you can interact in realtime not until 20 seconds.

But i‘m struggling with my band on new songs. So I do Not find any time for this at the moment…

Also it is difficult for me to support other Hardware 🤪

I have one question, is it possible to have your graphic view of the display on Captain mini 6, functionality in both ways...Player-Captain and reverse as it is now....and finally somehow to put in Wilsons switch version....5 rigs short switch and 4 effcts long switch plus tap tempo. Isthat possible. Thanks :)

I‘m still working to optimize the Software. It will be possible. But it will take time. I’m not a programmer and have to Google a lot.

And sometimes I have to practice Guitar and my normal work, my wife and children…

I can see the device on my computer, but when I copy all the things and reset the Captain it's still the same Wilson's version. I have delete the Wilson's version and copy your 3.51 version and then also copy the scr file ...still the same...What am I doing wrong. Sorry to bother you and thanks for your time

thanks for all information...I have a small problem, I have 3.6 firmware from Wilson installed I'm my Captain 6 Mini and somehow I just can't install your version on my midi Captain...I have try everything for several times, any thoughts. Thanks for your great work.

Where is the problem?

Do you See midicaptain as usb device on your Computer?

Can you copy the files to the device? Or do you get a message about Not enough memory?

Or does Not start the Firmware?

Hello,

I have one question...I have just bought Captain mini 6 and I am using it with my Kemper player level III. The question is, does Captain mini 6 works in both ways...One way when you change presets on Captain mini it changes on the player two, but when i physically change the presets on Kemper player or iPad rig manager it doesn't change on Captain mini 6. You are right.

The original MIDI Captain Firmware and my first own version doesn‘t recordnize changes made on Kemper Player directly or per RM yet.

So I asked Kemper Support for further information of their MIDI implementation. With this hints I startet recreating my own firmware version.

It is not completly ready and I just found a minor bug but you can give it a try.

There are some options while starting midi captain by pressing a foot Switch at the same time :

  • Switch 1: USB Modus to Connect MIDI Captain to Computer
  • Switch 2: using original MIDI Captain Firmware (3.5 I believe 🤫)
  • Switch 3: My First own Firmware Version
  • Switch 4: my developing of a bidirectional custom Firmware

    So you can Switch easy between different SW 😁

Hi,
I was requested to explain my setup.

I'm using these components:

Also you need some software on your mobile Device. In my case I'm using an iPad.

Be shure that AIRSTEP Lite and WIDI Bud Pro (a Midi Bluetooth Dongle) running with actual firmware. With IOS you need this software for firmware updates:

  • AIRSTEP Update
  • WIDI
For customize:

  • AIRSTEP
  • and WIDI again
In 'WIDI' control that the BLE role is set to 'Auto (to all BLE MIDI devices)'
