It turns out to be the input of the Kemper. A few times disconnecting and connecting the guitar cable it suddenly works normal again.. exactly what happened last year as well, I blamed the cable but I also realized that cable wasn’t really bad. I wonder if it will happen again..

I understand! Though I haven’t upgraded the Kemper, ive been on the latest firmware since it came out and it worked fine before..

Thank you so much for making that effort, I really appreciatie it!
But what I do not understand is why, all of a sudden, I would need to use an eq to fix those frequencies while it has always sounded just awesome before.. these frequencies where never an issue..

I understand it's quite difficult to understand what I'm trying to explain, so hereby an audio example. I hope anybody can tell either if it's audible or I'm just weird.
This is Tone Junkies Twinery Verb NB1 by the way, on a strat (neck position).

I was wondering if you solved the problem?

Hi everybody,
I’m having an issue with my Kemper stage. When using certain clean profiles I get this extra high frequencies underneath the signal, I’m not sure if I can call it digital clipping, it sounds a bit like as if there’s the clean processed sound is mixed with a direct signal, or like an acoustic plugged in. I can’t explain it very well. I have had this before about a year ago and it turned out to be the guitar cable, which was very odd because that cable seemed to be fine. Does anybody know what i mean? I’m noticing it most with profiles like ‘Twinery verb nb1’ by tone junkie for example.. it’s not the guitar, I tried a couple. Did a complete factory reset, also didn’t work... -
I’m not sure if it’s the same issue, but I have issues that sound similar. With certain clean profiles it sounds like it’s somewhat clipping, as if there’s some acoustic simulator running in the background or something. I had this issue a year ago as well, it seemed to be the cable back then, but now I’m sure it’s not that.

I'm starting to think it might actually be the pickups. I have them all equipped with Fralin Vintage Hots. I'm not sure if that was the best choice then..
-
Thanx for your advice! My strats are very glassy sounding so that's not the issue. I do believe it might have something to do with the way i'm monitoring them indeed. Right now I'm using several headphones that are not the best for monitoring..

Hi all!
I have a question. I'm noticing that the beautiful Fender high sparkle is missing on most of the clean profiles I'm trying. Of course I can dial in some more definition, or treble and presence for that matter, but I feel that it's not the right approach if I have to do that with every clean profile. I'm mostly using strats on the neck position. Anybody have any idea?

Today would have been a good day, right?

That was the first thing I thought of as well. Unfortunately I didn't change this value, so that's not the issue..

Hi all,
Since I updated my Stage to 7.1.3 Im hearing more high end than I'm used to. The profiles I use seem to sound thinner. I checked all my settings but everything is just fine. I only updated. Did a init global reset, but also didn't work. Does anybody have the 7.1.2 version for me, so I can try to revert and see if it would resolve my issue?
-
Is there anyway I can find the old firmware version somewhere? I would like to revert to see if it resolves my issues..
-
Just re-init the system settings and all will be fine again ...
Raf
Thanx; but why would that be necessary?
-
I understand, indeed. Though I didn't change anything, other than upgrading..
-
My profiles sound off, somehow, after updating to 7.1.3. More trebly, more direct. Weird..
-
Same here indeed: it's all the LED's.

My usb cable is always connected. I haven't check the power scenarios yet so I will do that and let you know!

I installed the latest firmware version, 7.1.2.
