    It has been discussed already. The Syncing of Rigs and Presets are taking longer than previous versions.

    First, this is not AI, it is just old-fashioned writing.

    I specifically stated that load time was not a big deal; switching to a new rig was the main issue. This is not just taking longer, it is unreasonably long. It should never take 9-12 seconds to switch between rigs.

  • Rig Manager VERY slow since upgrading from 3.10.x to 4.0.x+

    Hey Everyone,

    I have not seen anyone else mention this, but I'm experiencing severe performance degradation since upgrading Rig Manager from 3.10.x to 4.0.x and beyond, and want to know if others have experienced the same. I have a Stage MK I, and before the upgrade, selecting an amp was instantaneous and switching was also very similar (< 1 sec). For some background, I'm not currently playing out, so I'm taking pretty every release of the OS and Rig Manager as they come out, release, Beta, warts and all, so everything on my Kemper and Computer (PC) is the latest. Here is what I'm experiencing...

    • Startup: BEFORE: 10 seconds or so; AFTER: > 60 seconds (this is not a big deal or my main concern, but not ideal).
    • Simply selecting another amp in Rig Manager without switching: BEFORE: Sub-second; AFTER: 2-3 seconds (Pretty annoying)
    • Switching to another amp: BEFORE: about a second; AFTER: 9-12 seconds (this is what is the most annoying)

    I initially upgraded back in early March, I believe, right when the v2.0 OS and associated Rig Manager became available. I was not too concerned initially, as I figured it was beta and would therefore improve, performance-wise, over time, but so far, that has not been the case for me. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

    Here are some additional details specific to my setup:

    • PC: Not new but not obsolete either:
      • OS: Windows 11
      • CPU: Intel i9-9600, 3.1 GHz, 3096 MHz, 8 cores, 16 Logical Processors
      • Memory: 64 GB
    • Kemper HW: Stage MK I
    • Number of Profiles in Rig Manager: Just under 200K - I know that is a LOT. I bought a big bulk profile pack online after I initially purchased the Kemper Stage back in 2019, and that is where most of that large number comes from. This could be relevant if the Rig Manager is doing a full table scan or something else grossly inefficient when selecting something or switching amps in Rig Manager, so I call it out here for the official Kemper team if they happen to read this. I have a feeling that since I have not personally seen this specific performance issue reported, this may be very relevant.

    Jack, the Gainland is a high-gain amp. I think what you're looking for is the Van Weelden Twinkleland (a dumbleish amp), which can be found in the Wisseloord Amp Collection

    There are some great clean, low-gain, and high-gain profiles in that pack.

  • Kemper Rigs by (Jason Sadites)

    For those who have not tried the profiles from jsadites I would encourage you to give them a shot. I've found that 1) Jason Sadites has a very good ear for dialing in his profiles 2) many of the packs have liquid profiles (for those amps that have the liquid model channels) and other packs are "Liquid ready" with settings in the PDF for at least one of the profiles that could be made liquid if/when Kemper puts out a corresponding model channel for that amp and 3) he does not overcharge for his profiles. I currently have all of his profile packs except the latest Marshall JCM900, but I'll get around to picking that up soon enough.

  • WPS not working in 8.5 beta

    Thanks! This is the information I needed to get the Stage connected to my network. I now have it working in Home Network Mode and Access Point Mode.

  • Rig Manager Profiler Editor for iPad has been released

    this...my setup is very similar and I'm seeing the exact same thing. WPS soft button does not do anything... in fact for me the WPS soft button is slightly dimmed (about half as bright as normal) when on the "Home Network Mode". I can also get Access Point Mode to work with no problem but also not a viable option for me much of the time.
