Too much?
a simple looper using only one switch (TC does it)
Too less? (tc nailed the way to interact with just one stomp)
two external stomps or a two button midi controller to rec/oberdub and stop/de
Although not good?
So what about:
So why not let the user decide
How would you do all this or even a fraction of it with a device, which just has three foot switches overall? Is this even meaningful if you have buttons to start and stop loops but cannot change sounds and effects anymore?
Why not have the possibility to assign the two external stomps or a two button midi controller to rec/oberdub and stop/del?
It is just my personal dream, this Player comes so close: THE one perfect small device to have. It has all. But one: the possibility that a looper gives. For me, this would make it perfect.
And my experience is that it is comfortable to have a little stomp separate by a cable from device it self dedicated for the looper. Not my preferred way to do because of latencie, but the given usb midi makes it possible to have the looper controlled via bluetooth. The phone (needed anyhow) or a dedicated controller would do it.
So why not let the user decide, what he prefers to control the looper?
If you haven’t guessed it: I would really enjoy to have the looper onboard the kemper player!
That is the solution:
Plug the stick into the Player once before while it is running
Thank you so much Burkhard.
Where have you found this information? I would be happy to find the answer to a future question on my own.
On page 340 in the main manual I found that “the PROFILER will automatically suggest reformatting the stick”. Can the Player do that too?
Those are the ones, that I have tried and no backup was possible:
Will there come more detailed information than what is currently to be found in the manual?
Same problem here: non of my usb sticks work to backup. All are within the specifications from the manual.
Cioks 4 ~ using around 10W and taking two of the four plugs
Hi timo
Thank you for clarifying, that there are no midi channels to select at the kemper player.
But that there is no application to have the kemper player to specifically listen to just one channel, I disagree.
Hi
Has some one found out how to dial in the midi channel on the kemper player?
Hi Bakersounds
I really have not found the possibility to choose the midi channel in the System Settings. not to hijack 00diablo00 thread, I will open a new one
Have a look at the KEMPER PROFILER Player Main Manual 11.0 starting from page number 157: yes
Thank you Ingolf. I must have overseen that it isn’t available yet. Where have you read about it? Maybe I can get the answer to more questions there too.
Hi I have no answer to your question, sorry, but could you tell me, how to dial in the channel on the kemper player?
Hi aldomontoya
I successfully controlled the player with my Morningstar mc6 midi controller using an usb b to usb a cable. But only with standard midi commands as listed in the player manual. Load the manual pdf down and have a look at what will bee possible. If you need more control, you will need sysex commands and at this point I need help on my own. I have not figured out how to tell the player to react to sysex commands via his usb host port
A phraselooper is, what I would be happy to see in the kemper player. One to assign the looperfunctions to foot switches on my own.
I just wanted to assign the freeze function on the brand new player to footswitch 2. But can’t figure it out how. Any ideas?
That was leading to the more general question: How to assign effects to the virtual effect-buttons I-IIII?
Ah, i’ve got it. I have a stage and therefor it’s the kaos for the stage.
Anyhow: Thank you, for your help!
Was the one, that came with the download, as of today from the downloadpage here at kemper.com
By the way: would appreciate, if downloads in general had a hash published aside, so one could double check, that they are not manipulated.
