TJ will be thrilled they have finally captured a toilet bowl sound that others have overlooked.![]()
Do you want to address the frequencies in the Kemper or a DAW?
In the DAW boost nasty frequency then try subtractive eq.

Hi, I've popped my FCB1010 with EurekaProm mod up for sale on ebay. In case I get asked, anyone know if this will this work with the profiler 2.0 models as well?
Thanks.
I've used 3 Sigma audio in the past when I couldn't get a mic-ed sound I wanted. They worked well.
Been playing 2 hours now with Dill's Fender Twin...Just wow. The best clean tone I've ever get out of the Kemper, the notes have a bloom that goes all around you. Really inspiring.
From my side a big thank you to the Kemper team. I'll be honest: I was not expecting THIS kind of difference from 2.0
I always thought that the clean Fender tones were the weak point of the Kemper mk1, they never seemed to capture the glassiness for want of a better description.
If MK2 has nailed that, then that is impressive
If Nam and Tonex have this thing sewn up, why are there so many sh*t profiles on their sites?
Why do people still buy the Amalgam packs for example?
What they haven't got is liquid profiling etc
Back to Kemper 2 ..........
Here you hear mk1(1.0) profile sounds good and the same on mk1 and mk2.
Problem appears only 2.0 profile on mk1 unit. Suddenly thin sounding compared to ALL other options. Has to be a bug
Just for clarification I'm more than happy keeping my mk1 as it's a fantastic unit and already does more than I need.
After reading through the previous pages, question is: is updating to 14 actually a backward step for mk 1users, and if so does this effectively mean that support for mk1 units is finished. Honestly not bothered if this is the case, but would like to know.
ps, this is for the kemper team, not you personally Ibot39 ![]()
many amps will have several settings to capture, eg. a bright cap, jumpered, jazz/rock switch etc. Add to that different mics and combinations of mics ( consider the expense of something like a 121 - most people won't own one) so i think the professional guys will be fine. Also trying to "rertofit" an I.R. later on may not give the same Result
Personally I'd rather go straight to someone like MB and pay a little knowing I'm getting quality than to wade through hundreds of poorly captured profiles on rig exchange
off topic - have deleted. Looking forward to 2.0
Just watched a very experienced youtuber loading amp / guitar / pedal / cab setup on a QC. What a faff. I could do that in a quarter of the time on my Kemper, In fact I could probably create a 5 slot performance setup in that time with morph functioning for the effects.
Putting the Kemper 2 timeframe into perspective, he also stated that "Neural haven't even scratched the surface of what they promised at the outset".
Gigged from late 1980's through to early 2000's with the usual array of amps such as ac30's, Fenders and Marshall's (including a purple plexi like Tone Junkies, though I bet I paid less for mine
).
Didn't play much for a few years then got in to home recording - amps too loud, didn't love any modellers.
Other studio owners I chatted with raved about their Kemper's, so I bought one about 6 years ago.
Easily the best studio purchase I've made.
But Kemper has never had that, they’ve had the form factor of a kitchen appliance.
it makes toast of some other units ![]()
so unless Kemper makes significant progress in tone, its future product advantages are questionable.
The advantages will always be there:
The form factor of a real amp if you want that rather than a floor unit (which I love), Liquid profiles, the Morph function, great effects, great connectivity, incredible support and free upgrades.
Kemper 2 will not be some magic panacea if there are people struggling to gig or record in it's current form...
Is Kemper hindering its progress with the old hardware? It suggests that they could do more with newer hardware but I think this is pure speculation.
plus, by demonstratively looking after existing customers, it gives potential new customers a lot more confidence to invest.
For us, one strong reason to allow importing a V2 rig into an MK1 is compatibility. It ensures that MK1 users can continue to benefit from future V2 rigs uploaded to Rig Exchange. I’m confident there will be plenty of great-sounding new rigs that MK1 users can enjoy. Regardless of whether all aspects, such as enhanced dynamics, translate perfectly.
That's great, thanks.
So linking in to my previous post how Kemper steadily progresses without constantly finding ways to make their customers part with more money, or massively devaluing their existing gear, a certain company has just gone the plug in route. It must be exhausting buying in to that kind of marketing.
I'm hoping the version 2 profiles will be backward compatible so we join in the fun if we have version 1 even if we can't make the profiles.
I'm sure there is some kind of logical troubleshooting process. Unfortunately I don't know it.
But start with things like your guitar lead / jack plug and hopefully others will chime in from here.
Oh and has it worked Ok previously etc etc
Otherwise a support ticket is an option
Predictions are difficult, especially about the future. I predict there will be hyper scrutiny about the exact degree of MKII profile precision. Some minor audible differences will exist. Many will lose sleep, some will be irreconcilably heart broken. Kemper will add mind-blowing new parameters to the already unmatched toolset making the actual playing experience unbeatable in the world of capture tech. Many will miss out on the best sounding and most enjoyable playing experience ever. I will be sad for them.
^^^This. Kemper will never be the hare, only the tortoise, but will always end up at the front of the race. . Some companies have released more models than Rod Stewart in the last few years, must be frustrating buying into their sales models rather than awaiting the inevitable upgrades from team Kemper.
Pops and clicks can relate to buffer settings. Out of interest have you used reaper successfully with a different interface?
Have you made sure you've set Options >Preferences > Device to correct asio in Reaper?
I only have reaper version 4 so might be a bit different now
Thank You, that's a relief.
