Hey everyone, just wanted to say goodbye (at least for now) as I’ve sold my Kemper to help me in buying my first house. You guys have been the best resource in helping me figure out the Profiler and also for just good conversation in general. Hopefully someday I shall return!

Hey! No problem! there is the Cabmaker software for kemper that converts 44.1khz .wav IRs to the .kipr format BUT you can't use the rig manager to install these, you have to use a usb stick to import these. And then you'l find it in the cab section on the "presets"-button
That's actually much easier than I expected, thanks. I have a USB stick locked and loaded.

Update: still no answer from Fortin themselves about profiles.

Mnwarrior26 For the most part, but with a bit of a miked vibe from the impulses. It was a two-phase process: making the electric guitar's magnetic pickup sound like a piezo pickup, then sweetening the piezo tone with miked-acoustic impulse responses made for undersaddle bridge pickups.
Impresive. Will definitely check it out. I love me some real pretty clean tones
-
So is this like buying profiles that sounds like a Piezo pickup?
-
Don't know how the hell I missed this but I will be checking these out!

Just had another thought which seems to work quite well. Try the flanger ideas with the ducking control set to a + number. That will duck the flanger out of the way on the initial attack but let it fade back in as the note decays.
Brilliant

I turned my clean sens to -6 and still clipped at times. I do pick pretty hard to be fair... does rig volume vs master volume have an effect?
-
Chris Duncan I agree 100%. I would never have been exposed to many of these amps if not for my Kemper. And like you, I have gravitated more toward the Friedman profiles than anything else.
Which Friedman profiles do you use? I've tried some and haven't found any that do much for me. Whereas I do like the tones I've heard in videos.

I just learned that I've been clipping wayyyy too often without even noticing this thanks to this post.
So.. thank you for that tip I didn't know I needed! haha
-
Mnwarrior26 not sure I understand what you want - do you want the fx only on the tail of your playing (not during playing)?
If so have a look at the ducking setting.Yeah the way I know it is the main tone is the dry signal and the effect is the wet signal. I only want the effect on the repeats (wet signal) and thanks for the tip
-
Glad that you like it.
It's not perfect I think, but quite similar.
I feel like a flange effect would make it exactly the same. But I'm unaware how to make the delay have flange without affecting the dry signal.

Try this:
Delay Type: Dual Delay
To Tempo: 112 BPM
Mix: 40%
Note Value 1: 4/16(1/4)
Note Value 2: 8/16(1/2)
Delay Balance: 0%
Feedback Sync: Checked
Feedback 1: 35%
Feedback2: -
Low Cut and High Cut at your taste
Reverse Mix: 0%
Stereo: 200%
Chorus: 6.5
Cross Feedback: 0
Modulation: 2.5
Flutter I.: 0
Flutter Rate: 0
Grit:0
Input Swell: 0%
Smear: 0%
Ducking: 0%
Wow thank you! Only thing I did was turn chorus down a smidge. It's awesome!

I've played guitar a long time.. but never been a big effects guy. having trouble getting to this one. Looking to do a cover of one of my favorite bands songs and it's a very distinguished delay. I know Matt uses the Line 6 DL4 on I believe.. sweep echo. I've included a YouTube link to the song.
If anyone can help me dial it in I'd be entirely grateful.
Thanks!

According to their social media they're in the process of doing official profiles themselves. If they can make a solid amp sim of this amp and the NATAS I'm sure profiles will be outstanding. I keep bugging them for updates to no avail unfortunately

Definitely sad news. He was a pioneer!
Tortex are the only picks I'll ever use.

I’ll trade silence for bragging rights any day of the week
Of course my friend. Tinnitus teamed up with anxiety can be very stressful for me.
Having to sleep with white noise makes travel and other things very difficult!
Was definitely being sarcastic about it all. sucks that loud music is the best music! Earplugs or bust for me
-
Don’t get me started on Tinnitus from all my years with 100w valve amps. About 9khz blasting inside my head from the minute I waken up until the moment I go to bed
Tinnitus isn't solely for the old school guys! I'm 29 with 17 years under my belt and have had it since 24.
Such a bragging point, am I right?

mnwarrior, when my band rehearses we do not have a PA so I have always relied on my tube amp , is the headrush enough power to be loud enough for a hard-hitting metal drummer during rehearsal?
2000 watts should have you keeping up with anyone easy. I've only had it up to 2 with my Kemper master volume at around -20dB and my ears hate me after 20 minutes of playing.
