The solution to make the tuner available at all times is to untick the "follow tuner mode switch on device" in the PROFILER menu...

Wasn't there a change related to impedance and the fuzz effect? I could be wrong though.
Edit: seems to be stage only.
There made a change to the input circuit for the Stage and Player for the Fuzz effect I think. And another change was the Wifi circuit which is in both the Stage and Player too.
-
As far as I am aware, the profiler has two main chips: A DSP made by Motorola and a ARM CPU that handles all the I/O. If anything, the CPU might have changed that allows the Stage to have more USB audio inputs and a faster boot time. But that's about it...

I think this is pretty official...

Unlikely. This paid upgrade was to bring the Player up to parity with the others. Once upgraded to LvL3, the updates would be the same for all. That's my take on it.

Have you tried the tutorial videos?

I've said this exact thing many times on multiple forums. People just respond "that I don't get it".
The reality is that they are making up arguments that don't make sense in a desperate attempt to "be right".
Not to mention the lack of a warranty on second hand devices...

There are two options: 1. the USB class compliant driver. 2. the Kemper ASIO driver
The first one is what we are all using up to this point. It's a standard driver built for compatability with all devices using the USB class. So you can use the Kemper as a windows/Mac OS audio device for streaming purposes. It doesn't have ASIO features so isn't really recommended for DAWs because of latency. The second is what you should use for DAWs that are compatible with ASIO for recording. You get all the features of the ASIO platform (fast latency) specific to the kemper device you have. The ASIO driver does not stay running after the DAW is closed so your OS doesn't use it so that's why you don't see it.
You can only choose one or the other. -
I said it earlier that I think part of the confusion is that existing Kemper users, including Toaster/Rack and Stage, think all new updates with new features will be paid. I think this needs to be made clear that this upgrade is only for the Player to bring it up to the level of the other devices.
-
There seems to be confusion on the Official Facebook page that all updates upgrades are going to be paid for in the future. If this isn't the case, Also there's a confusion as to what happens to the upgrade if one loses or breaks their Player and buys a new one. Would the upgrade transfer or not. etc etc
I think it might be beneficial for Kemper to release a statement saying that this only pertains to the Player and not the rest of the line up. That might let out some air from this... IMO -
Here you go JC....

Make sure you have the "install betas" option in preferences ticked in your Rig Manager. Then the beta of the new rig manager will download. Once that's running, it will offer you the update for the Player and then you are all set to activate your level upgrade...

Check your spam folder. It comes via email...

I believe the issue is that people tend to think of software upgrades as either cheap or free because the hardware is what they paid for. They don't understand that the meat and potatoes always was and always will be in the quality of code that pushes the hardware. Look at the QC. It has buckets of processing power but the software, especially the effects, leave a lot to be desired. Before the Player came along then users never really questioned the cost of the big units because they were considered flagship products containing all the feature sets of software with free updates.
The Player was pushed as a cut down product with free updates to the limited features contained within. When a software upgrade is offered that expands that feature set to include most of the features of the larger units where the prices are justified due to their feature sets, users fall back on that ingrained perception that upgrades/updates were supposed to be free and they can't see the inherent value of the different level upgrades because they are software. It's not like plugging in a piece of hardware to expand the functionality of the device. It's software where there is no discernable change until they plug in and play.
Still it comes down to how much users consder is worth it for software that even the most powerful devices cannot function well without or even at all. Maybe it would have been better to leave well enough alone. 😂 -

Profiler and Rig Manager are both upgraded to the latest beta (today) and the two Asio options are available in Rig Manager, BUT ... when I start Cubase, I'm offered to switch asio driver to the new KEMPER PROFILER ASIO, but if I accept, I get the message "The audio driver could not be loaded. Please make sure your audio hardware is connected correctly to your computer."
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything from scratch 3 times, but no difference.
The cables have been connected to the computer for 9 months, while reluctantly using ASIO4ALL (which sucks btw!) but nonetheless, it "worked" ... Am I doing something wrong, or is anyone else having this issue??
Would really appreciate if anyone could advise with this, cheers
PS. OS is Windows 11, fully updated.
Crazy idea but did you reboot the computer?

Any updates of long awaited fxes (trem , pan ...) in that beta ??
I think this is mainly to unify all models into one firmware update. There are ASIO drivers with this one too so that's some good news for the rest of us.
