First, check which expression pedal you’re using and whether it has a polarity switch, as this can affect compatibility.

Connect a TRS cable from the pedal to one of the Pedal inputs on the back of the Kemper (Pedal 1 or Pedal 2).

On the Kemper, go to System, then Pedal Settings. Select the input you used (for example, Pedal 1) and set it to “Wah Pedal.” If needed, calibrate the pedal by moving it through its full range.

Add a Wah effect in one of the stomp slots. Make sure the “Pedal Mode” is set to something like “Bypass @ Heel,” so the wah turns off when the pedal is in the heel position.

TOTALLY worked!. Thanks! I owe you a beer!

    Thanks!>. I think I was missing a few steps...

I'm a little late in replying, but I'll leave it anyway. Go into the output settings and check what the main output settings and monitor output settings are. If the main output is Master Stereo and the monitor output is set to DLY/REV Wet, the reverb sound coming out of the main output will sound very strange.

Leave the main output settings as is and turn off the monitor output settings or change them to something else.

Thanks..The Master Output is set as Master Stereo, The Monitor is set to Master Mono.. I use the monitor out to run my speaker cab, one of the main outs to my Presonus into my Mac. The Reverb sounds weird (..and now many of the Delays..) through either. On another note..I have some MBritt profiles that have amazing Reverbs, delays, etc.. I copy the exact parameters, doesn't work..

There’s no real reason to backup RM when updating the unit. But it’s not a bad habit to have.

As for Liquid Profiles - as has been said. There is zero reason to avoid upgrading. Existing profiles don’t change in any way whatsoever.

Unless you’re using a Liquid enabled profile, you won’t hear any difference. Even then, only the behavior of the controls changes.

I will end up doing the update just to get the LP thing happening. If it changes how the controls work on pre-existing profiles, it's worth it right there. Thanks!

Always do a backup.... You never know what could happen and it would suck losing all the work you put into tweaking profiles. Backup the profiler and the Rig Manager.

As for the upgrade, what version are you currently running? There may be some extra steps that require you to contact support depending on how old the profiler version is.

Lastly it is important to remember that upgrading also requires you to keep your computer OS in mind. There have benefits several instances where people have upgraded only to find the new Rig Manager will not run on their older Macs. If you have an older MacBook that is not running the newest OS, you may want to post it up here so we can tell you if it will work or check the support page to make sure that you will still be able to run the newest version.

As for Liquid... I like the concept but still find myself using mainly regular profiles, at least for now. It does work well, but I just haven't found a solid use for them to be my only go to for profiles.

Hope this helps a little! Happy Holidays!"

I use a an old Mac to record on, but I use a brand new PC laptop for rig manager.. I'm running a 2 versions ago, if that makes sense..I have n't done an update since liquid profiles came out. Very helpful, thank you, and happy holidays!

Forgive my post as I am very late to "the liquid profile show," so to speak... I haven't done the upgrade to my Powerhead yet, I've been holding off because it sounds great currently, but I think there are other upgrades that have happened since (..effects, etc..) that I'm missing out on.. Not much of a "tech"..I am intimidated a bit when I do thees updates as something always goes wrong or I end up having issues with Rig manager, so I never upgraded..I decided to reach out to some people locally to "step me through the process,"...and funny thing, where I live, I know about 5 local pro players who have Kemper and also have not done the upgrade to liquid profiles..Nobody has..What the heck?? So, every update I've done so far, I've never done a bck up (..never had to..)..I tried following the instructions on one of these threads and easily became frustrated and discouraged...Getting ready to try it all again..any tips?

You are missing the point. Have you checked and followed my hint regarding DLY+REV Routing? This parameter sits in Rig Settings and is not included in any reverb presets. If DLY+REV Routing is for example set to +100%, it means, that the reverb in module REV only affects the wet portion of the delay in module DLY. If there is no wet portion, there is no reverb regardless which reverb preset you are loading. So the impact is huge.

Ahhh thanks for the explanation..I will check those settings and parameters..

Instead of "dialing in" parameter by parameter, have your tried to load one of the three preinstalled Spring Reverb presets e.g. "Spring Fan"?

If this issue affects only specific Rigs and your Reverb sits in the REV module, check how DLY+REV Routing is set in Rig Settings.

Yes of course..Literally just going through each Reverb "preset" ...they all do it..None "sound" like Reverb. ALL other effects work great. I have some Pro-Studio profiles I've purchased that come with Reverb on them (..along with some other effects...) Those work great, but anything preexisting in the Kemper list of Reverb offerings have this out of phase funky sound...I tried stereo outs, speaker outs, headphones out, all do it. ONLY for Reverb. All other effects work as they should. I've owned multiple Kempers over the years, never had this issue.

What is your current setup you are using for the Player? What power supply, are you using studio monitors or headphones, etc.? Something in your setup could be affecting the Kemper.

Have you tried running just the Kemper Player with the stock power supply by itself with headphones?

Also, is this happening with multiple guitars? Or just one?

Not using a Player..I have the Powerhead(toaster)..I run a 4x12 from the speaker out, and or go direct out for recording/FOH. The issue is apparent through all sound sources.

For some reason, none of the Reverbs are working properly... I can't dial in even just a simple bit of spring reverb..it just sounds "out of phase"..like a funky bad chorusy sound..All of the reverb choices are like this, yet all of my other effects work perfectly within the Kemper... I did a master reset, still no luck.. ?

The #5 button works just fine in "Browser" mode, but in performance mode, it does not.. Any of my performance Banks, #5 button doesn't work.. How is this even possible? Is it possible to de-activate a button ? If so, I must have done that since the switch (and led)work on Browser mode just fine.. Also, still unable to complete a request to customer service as there is somethign wrong with the site.. Just looking for any and all help here..Thanks.
