I totally agree when it is non constructive slop. I did something, with the help of AI and it worked for me. It was all about sharing something that I desperately need when I play live. I’m not selling it, just sharing something that might interest others. If what I did is illegal, I’ll take it down… I love my Kemper products (I have a toaster, a player and a stage) but when it comes to accessories or workaround for some advanced tools, it’s almost non existent and we have to rely on people sharing their work (I think about Pyswitch on the midicaptain or even the person who graciously shared a max device to control the Kemper within ableton).

Anyway there’s no need to be angry or scornful.

Full disclosure: this app was vibe-coded with the help of AI. I'm a guitarist, not a professional developer — I built it mainly to solve a problem I had with my own Kemper Player.

Hi everyone,

I’ve made a MIDI control plugin for the Kemper Player, designed to let you control and automate rigs, effects, pedals and looper commands directly from your DAW.

The first release includes a VST3 plugin for Ableton Live and an AU MIDI FX plugin for Logic Pro.

For now, it is macOS only. I’ve tested it only with Logic Pro and Ableton Live, so I can’t confirm compatibility with other DAWs yet.

I'm the first to be sorry about it... I have an iphone 6 where I can't intall it either...

I think the Android version is less exclusive, it should run on 99% of Android devices.
But if your Kemper Player is plugged to a mac ( I know that's a hassle but I'm in this situation all the time live since I control my kemper with ableton) there is another project of mine that let's you have the same thing and on any device since it's using a browser : https://github.com/adriendoespostrock/KemperDisplay

No Windows version for now, I'll look into it a bit later.

I released on the same page the Android version. Now I think even if you are as dumb as a shoe, the install process is easier.

To make it to dummies would mean to have an apple dev account, which is expensive for occasional devs like me… If you can’t handle this installation, maybe it is just no for you to geek out on it.

Hi everyone,

I’ve just released Kemper Display WiFi, a small iPhone companion app for Kemper Player users.

It connects to the Kemper over the local network and displays:

• the current rig name;
• bank and slot;
• BPM;
• Morph status;
• the full eight-slot effect chain, including effect names and on/off states.

The interface is designed to stay clear and readable while playing, in both portrait and landscape orientations.

Hello, I play the guitar in a postrock band (https://linktr.ee/whenwavescollide) and we usually play live with a computer (for click and backtracks purposes).
Some part of our set are incredibly difficult to play with just 2 guitarists and I always wanted to be able to have a looper to record some phrases, synced to our click.

Since we are using a computer and the Kemper does have a looper in it, I educated myself about the NRPN midi stuff and found out how to automate the looper all synced up with any tracks we play.

I wanted to share it here because the journey to make it work was hugely difficult and I think I might not be the only person wanting to do this.

In order to automate the Kemper looper you'll need 2 mandatory things :

- a copy of Ableton Live

- the soft device NRPN Gen 2 (https://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/4893/nrpn-gen-2)

Once in Ableton, you just have to create a midi track and drop the device in this midi track.
You'll need to enter the values as shown in the image NRPN 1

Then you'll have to set your envelopes controls as shown in the image NRPN 2

The rest is pretty much explicit on how to trigger the different modes of you kemper looper !

Let me know if it works for you !

PS : Note that it also means you can automate about anything in your Kemper and make your life easier if you play live with a computer !

PPS : I plan on doing a video to explain everything with a lot more details in the future
