Hey if you use IG I’d love to hear you remix this reel and shred! Show us your favorite lead tone on action.
The recording features recorded kemper guitar tones combined with my current fractal rig.

Awesome style , you got your own for sure. Great album
Man that’s the ultimate goal! Having an individual voice.

Great stuff GuyJames ! Thanks for sharing, lots of blues goodness to get my teeth into here. Awesome playing, particularly liked Arc Light.
That was the first song that sparked my desire to complete an ep in 2020

Great playing and sound. Congrats, great job
Thank you!

All my electric guitar tones were recorded with mbritt profiles with the exception of one overdub with a fractal in the first song.

Sounds brilliant GuyJames , I love your slide playing, i so wish i could do that
You can! just takes practice and patience. Listen to Joey Landreth and Ariel Posen and Derek Trucks.

Well composed and well played, great sound. Awesome piece of music!

Sounds absolutely brilliant GuyJames Very Pini(esque) in places, i take it you are a fan of plini? Guitar tones and playing are just perfect as t the rest of the music. Loved the video too. What profiles did you use?
this was recorded with a mbritt divided by 13 profile I believe. I don’t have the kemper anymore to tell you for sure sorry.

great to see your chord changes and these Malsteem licks , well done James
I didn’t do any with malmsteen in mind however I did use an arpeggio technique I learned from Paul Gilbert that is a string skipping two note per string sequence that falls nicely on the neck and follows the changes.

Wish I had a bassist and keyboardist to be in the video but I couldn’t lock my guys in for the time I had scheduled to shoot. I edited the video myself but had some good help with lights and videography. I feel that music are super supplemental to a release and are honestly just fun to make for me

Hey guys!
Sad to say i will be selling my kemper and moving onto other things. Since day one (a few years) ive had nothing but an absolute nightmare of a time with my kemper everything i tried and purchased along the way and it was ALOT to the point of spending MORE than the actual kemper 3-4 times more to try an enjoy my unit just always ended up in dissapointment. It got to the point where i would just be seriously depressed and frustrated and didnt even want to write or record anything or even turn it on anymore.
I just could not get out of my frustrating situation of that digital compressed fizzy glitchy crappy signal that was in every profile it was like a cancer i could cut out and there was no solution to it. i was constantly having a battle with it and it just wasnt working out.
Im not gonna dump on it this is just my personal experience.
I recorded a side by side of quite a few of commercial profiles against a vst plugin that cost a fraction of the price using a default setting and the vst just destroyed it.
Devistated it has come to this especially the financial investement ive put into it over the years but for my sanity it just has to go.
I was advised to send it Germany for an inspection but that would cost me even more money and this situation has been ongoing since i firs took it out of the box so it seems a bit unfair i would have to spend a further few £100's to get it looked at due to a situation i didnt even create. ( i still think the unit is faulty and has been since it was delivered)
Again this is just my experience with the kemper i was just expecting so much more and was left frustrated depressed and alot more skint...should have just bought a new amp.
Hope you all have a great time with your lil toasters and keep on rockin.
Adios amigos! \m/
hope to see you on the fractal forum 🤪

C'mon, be honest, you miss us
in a toxic abusive relationship way yes 🤭

This. A super portable profile player that fits in a gear bag and integrates with Kab would be an incredible addition. The best thing about kemper for me has been the lack of need or want to "upgrade" my hardware in typical axefx or line6 fashion.
I honestly shouldn’t be here anymore because I use fractal now 😅

I’m not the only one but… a small pedal version no larger than the HX Stomp. And make it able to load two profiles. I’d be happy if it just did that and no effect blocks… it would be entirely for amp tones and a pedal board platform or studio tool for adding plugins to.

I definately didn't like the PRS SE pickups. I have one friend that has 2 PRS's (Custom 22 and the above 594. I have another friend with a custom 24.
Compared to my modified SE Custom 24:
1) I greatly prefer they way all the core PRS's my friends have look. No one (in their right mind) can hate on the astecic design of a PRS. They are beautiful IMO.
2) I actually prefer the way my (very well setup) SE plays, but again, that is likely more a function of the quality of my Luthier in Ann Arbor MI.
3) I also prefer my custom "Bare Knuckles" Rebel Yell pickup tone (and overtones) to any PRS pickup I have ever played.
I would also like to say that even the lowly PRS SE line guitars come stock from the factory with surprisingly good setup and feel. All PRS guitars can be made to be outstanding gig axes. I love the way they feel. Of course, ANY guitar you buy would be well served by a good setup from an accomplished luthier IMO.
FYI, I still love my strats for single coil work as I feel no humbucker can ever do what a good single coil in a strat can do; however, where I once played mostly Gibson Les Pauls for humbucker sounds, I never liked the feel and the weight. I do miss the sustain sometimes though. Just seems like those fixed bridge heavy as hell Les Pauls would ring forever with no effort what-so-ever.
I actually find lighter guitars to sustain better in my experience.

I am somewhat enamored with the 594 format. Would like to try a singlecut variant, maybe a S2.
I’m selling the S2 if you’re interested I’ll give you a deal man.
