Hello everybody, I am helping my friend build a simple music computer. He has a Kemper Profiler Player as the USB audio interface. Computer will be running Windows 10 Pro and Protools.
Should I install Rig Manager 3.10.13 and OS 13.0.5.61298 on it? I've read that the Asio driver is working in those versions. Or is the new Rig Manager 4.2.13 and OS 14.2.1 driver working fine now? I only want to install this once.

I will take a look at this app! Do you know the specifications the kemper needs? Besides the .wav format, what’s the kHz or the ms required?
Another way you could do it is load FA Cab Lab into your DAW, load your cab into it, and send the pulse through Cab Lab. Should work if its an older .syx file. Might not work on the newer versions though.
Your best bet is to turn off everything in the Fractal except the cab, send an impulse through the Fractal and then convert it to wav. You will need an utility like IR workshop to do it though.
Calmandweird, what type of tone are you going for? Crunchy Marshall tones, clean Fender tones, Heavy Mesa tones? Different profilers specialize in certain tones.

Been thinking about picking up a Tonex One for reamping as well.
Guess I will have to use usb audio for that. Not ideal because I'm running Pro Tools and don't like switching the audio driver ever.
Have you tried running a real preamp in the Kemper's effects loop with a profile of just a power amp?
WheresTheDug posted a power amp profile and wanted to see if anybody had gotten good results with running that way.
Got a Engl 570 preamp and have been looking at picking up a few Synergy modules if this actually works.

Dynochrome, appreciate the response. What I was really looking for was the easiest way on reamping. Ended up hard wiring a 14 space rack dedicated just to reamping. Now all I have to do is plug in the Soldano, Splawn, Engel or Marshalls, change one cable and I'm good to go.
Good to know Wheresthedug. Yeah, I've got a Two Notes attenuator for the amps so no problem there. If I remember correctly, the old Digi Eleven rack could do it but I'm worried about the quality of the converters. When Two Notes came out with the Reload box they should have put s/pdif on it. This might be more trouble than it's worth though.
Thanks for the input Dynochrome! Yeah, hopefully somebody on here has tried it out. Just not sure if the loop in the Kemper is correct for this. Really don't want to get an Axe FX just to do it.
Looking for the easiest way to reamp. I can't believe that a company has not made a simple box for reamping with an input, loop for an amp or preamp and s/pdif in and outs.
I own a studio so I have a reamp box, extra converters and PLENTY of amps. Gets a little tedious.
Just want to reamp amps and use impulse responses for cabs. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Just saw a video of a guy running a Marshall in the loop section of an Axe FX III. That way he could record his clean guitar DI and later reamp using the Marshall in the loop via S/pdif. I should be able to do that with the Kemper right? Has anyone tried that or is using that method? Would make my life and cabling situation so much easier!

bleys21, don't give up yet. The Kemper takes a while to find what you are looking for. I'm still looking on bass haha.
Thanks for the video tip musicmad. He did an amazing job on it. I think one of my problems is the pickups in the studio bass. I believe it has Dimarzio Billy Sheehan Will Power pickups in it. To say it has a woody tone would be an understatement. Been thinking about just throwing some EMG P-Bass pickups in it. Any suggestions?

I know Don was kind enough to post the CLA Bass Start Me Up profile. Has anybody else profiled any of the other presets in the CLA Bass plugin?
I initially bought the Kemper to use on bass so I don't have to mic up the Ampegs but have been having a hard time finding profiles I like and have tried most commercial profiles. The CLA Bass profile is a nice starting point, but I am also looking for overdriven bass tones like Duff with Velvet Revolver or the Mike Dirnt tone on Boulevard of Broken Dreams or even the Steve Lack tone on the Veruca Salt song Volcano Girls. They all have a very consistent distorted tone.
Any suggestions?
