If I had to do it over I'd probably get the Stage and a pair of powered Kones. I still love my powered toaster and passive Kone though. Convenient in some situations as I can just plug into a guitar cab and go.

Also remember that "real amps" tend to be LOUD, and that always sounds better than low volume. When I played tube amps I always thought the improvement in tone due to turning up was due to the tubes being pushed, but now I think it's mostly the increased volume that makes it sound better.
It all sounds good through the PA at gig levels, either a tube amp with a mic or the Kemper direct. With the Kemper we can hear ourselves on stage when we sing.

Unless the Mac interface is your go-to already it's a bad idea to get one because you think it'll be better for rig manager.
Get a modest priced version of whichever platform you know.
FWIW - I had a brand new MacBook Pro that developed a motherboard fault the first weekend I used it and never had an HP laptop with any issues. 🙂

If these were templates that could then be refined then I think it's a great time saver and creative tool. You'll discover a whole bunch of amp/eq combinations.

I tried out an ADA flanger in 1981 (I think) and it was a glorious thing. There was a 3D, thick sound to it that I've never been able to replicate with another pedal. Like the speaker was rubber or something. Please let me know if you get close.
But... it was a dedicated unit that plugged straight into the wall.

Will have a look on RE later, thanks for the tip.
I don't have push/pull on my Schecter Reaper, I did on my Epiphone Les Paul but switched it out for Seymour Duncan Slash Alnicos II's so lost the push/pull functionality - never liked it anyway. I do have push/pull pot on my PRS SE but it sounds very weak. BTW - I'm not into drilling any of my guitars lol
An EQ in a stomp slot before the amp will let you sculpt the HB into single coil ish. Those pickups are a bit dark from memory - I had them in my Yamaha SG2000.

When it's fully featured and defect free. 🙂

It's also good to make sure you're sending a decent level to the interface.
-
Try using just a regular guitar cable from the Kemper to the Focus rite and record that alone as a test, without any XLR.
The interface may be adding a preamp, thinking it's a mic signal due to the XLR.

I realise it's not a requirement for every user. 😀

Maybe a couple of basic drum loops as well?
-
If you long press the Reverb button does it even bring up the reverb effect settings?
-
So your different rigs have different reverb and delay settings, but you can't turn them on or off or edit them? That eliminates lock as a culprit anyway.
Trying Rig Manager would help determine if it's the actual buttons on the Kemper that are faulty.

I use different Input presets for my different guitars, with different distortion sense and it works for me. Plug my Tele in, select the Tele input. I don't get the complexity or uselessness that are plaguing you.

Ah - yeah, sounds like the speaker in that case. 😕

Definitely as above - loosen, then tighten

Deleted - solved above

Hi and welcome!
Watch lots of videos, resist the temptation to put tons of profiles on the unit, have a logical folder structure in Rig Manager and back up your profiles to your computer, ask great questions with specifics of your gear. 🙂

Hi and welcome! Great to have more real pros to learn from! 🙂
