No offense intended. I have never been a fan of the EON speakers (and this is an understatement). If you don't care for the sound through the EON, be sure you try something else before giving up on FRFR speakers.
Rumor has it that the Alto TS212 is a decent sounding speaker, but doesn't go as loud as the DXR and isn't as robust. Maybe you could give a few powered speakers a try with your Kemper at a local music store?
Thanks for the input! The EON will just be at home jamming. Honestly I got it knowing I can return it if I don't like it. In that case I will look into the DXR10. My main (kept at the band practice studio) FRFR is my Line 6 Firehawk 1500.
Hi! In our band the other guitarist had a Kemper playing through an Jbl 15" frfr and myself playing through kemper and dxr 10. Last rehersal he had sold his kemper and got an evh 5150||| with matching 2x12 cab.
The sound separation is much better between us now when he plays trough his 5150 i think.
We play loud, so my dxr is at aprox 80% of max.To the other guy who wondered about dxr 10 and 8 stringed...
Try the dxr15, it sounds identical to the dxr 10 but with more low end on tap if you need it and goes a bit louder.
It`s easier to remove low end from a 15" than to add low end to a 10" that can`t handle it:)
The firehawk also sound interesting, i mean if Devin Townsend chooses to use it with his kemper live it can`t suck that bad
I just picked up a JBL eon612 today. My Kemper is at that practice studio so I shall see how it sounds for just basic jamming
@ohcrapitskurt I never even thought of that option! How do you hook the kemper up to it? Through the effect return?
I have it going into the monitor in. The sound is incredible!!! Such heavy low end for chugs but still clarity for fast picking and sweeps ect
Hey guys I'm new to the forum here so excuse me if I do something wrong. I was wondering if a Yamaha dxr10 is loud enough to be in a low tuned metal band and compete with another guitarist using a 4x12. Im mostly worried about the low end since I play an 8 string even though I don't use the lowest string much. I'm also wondering if a dxr12 is better for my application
i feel like i keep repeating myself on here but i would definitely recommend the Line 6 Firehawk 1500. its great for sounds like deftones, animals as leaders, northlane, periphery type sounds. crystal clear.
i use it in my band with my powered kemper and keep up with everyone in the band. the other guitarist has a 6505+ with a 4x12 and i sometimes overpower him even when he cranks it

thanks pimp!
Hello! new kemper user here. Before i got my kemper i signed up to the message boards and it asked me a series of questions like my name and whatnot.. but also a serial number. at that time i didnt own a kemper but i signed up anyway. now that i own one and have a serial number id like to have my forum limitations updated. sometimes i cannot comment on posts that i would like to, wall posts.. ect. what can i do?
@Xander it won't let me reply to your wall post. Dude I love it and it sounds amazing with the firehawk. I have not use the monitor that you are speaking of. I would love to try it and see how it sounds. But honestly i'm just sooooo happy with the firehawk 1500 and powered Kemper. So thick and beyond crystal clear. I just played a show tonight and it's a hardcore band. So it usually tube amps 5150's ect and 4x12. I used my Kemper and firehawk and was louder and clearer than everyone else tonihht. When my set was done people were coming up to me like "idk what the hell that is but it sounds amazinggggggg!" Compliments all night.
Do you use left and right to your frfr cab? if you can use one then use the Monitor out for FRFR. And Yess the left and right XLR main output to the FOH
I do use it that way or use the left and the right to the speaker so it's stereo because it's a stereo speaker. But I have the 2 XLR ports open so I can send them to FOH? Thanks
So i'm an idiot..
Long story short I have a powered Kemper and it's going to a line 6 Firehawk 1500 FRFR cab (powered) (via the main output 1/4 cable. The two xlr next to them are free)
If I want to go DI and use my cab still, how do I do it...
Cab the sound guy plug into free xlrs?
I want the crowd to hear what I hear from my cab. If this is already posted just please link me.. thanks.
also, your band is pretty dope!
i play in a generic hardcore band right now but playing in a band called Years Spent Cold for a while which is similar to your bands style. you guys are way heavier though.
that might be something for you:

THIS! YES. Love it dude. Especially that simple/clean pedalboard. The remote, thats my next purchase.
as of lately ive been getting heavily into my Kemper and Line 6 Firehawk 1500. The sound is incredible. Never been happier with a rig. Tube head or Cab.
follow me on instagram for videos featuring me playing the Kemper and Line 6 Firehawk together (as an FRFR cabinet) along with photos. @ohcrapitskurt
There's some info regarding the studio vs. direct vs. merged profiles in the FAQ (see my signature).
Regarding sending the amp-only signal to your cab, you can connect it to the monitor output of the KPA, and there is an option somewhere to switch off the cab emulation for that output. Also for the speaker output if you have a powered version, I believe. It's all in the manual (which, incidentally ,is also linked in my signature :-))
thanks michael!
so as you can tell by my "beginner" tag that I am fairly new to the Kemper world. obsessed even close to how i feel about it. ive play every tube amp/cabinet under the sun trying to find "my" tone. Kemper has does that for me and made it beyond easy..
anyway, this may have been ask before which i'm pretty sure it has (just cant seem to find the thread), anyway.. i see a few things about studio profiles and direct profiles.. I would just like some better understanding...
Does "studio" mean it contains the amp,cab and microphone used so when you use an FRFR cab youre getting that full sound?
Does "direct" mean you're only getting the amp and putting it directly to a cab (my orange 4x12) and its ONLY simulating the amp.
with that being said/asked, how can I have the direct profile go to my Orange PPC412 and the studio go to the monitors/FOH/FRFR cabinet?
thanks guys.

looking to buy the remote.
I dont understand why people are selling them for so much $$$ when you can actually get it on the kemper website for a little under $500. ive seen people selling them for $500+... what gives?
