It may have worked well with your old laptop but just can't handle Windows 11 (yet).
Yes the Kemper can be used as a USB audio interface. The Head and Rack are 2in/2out, the Stage model is 4in/4out.
Thanks Edward. So I just USB the front USB of the Kemper into my PC? If so, o you have a specific USB cable that would work best?
And aslo, I play throgh headphones, so I assume I can just plug my cans into the Kemper? (currently have them in the Zoom.
Have you tried using the Kemper USB instead of the Zoom? I have used a few Zoom products and find them very unreliable, none have lasted more than a year. I would try the Kemper USB and if that fixes your problem and you would rather use an interface, replace the zoom with something else. Please don't take this the wrong way but the Zoom is cheap for a reason.
Thanks for the help. I actually have had good results with my u24, but I am just an amatuer playing around. With that said, not taken the wrong way at all. It did work well on my old laptop though, no complaints until now. But now I can't stand , driving me mad.
I was unaware , you dont need an AI for the Kemper? I can plug it in direct to PC?

I have had my Kemper for years and years and love it. I use a Zoom u24 AI and had no problem. I upgraded my PC (Windows 11 now).
The issue is that every now and then (5 to 10 seconds) the audio cuts out for a split second. It is driving me mad. It has made my entire music workspace unusable and I don't know what to do. I have searched everywhere with no luck. I have seen plenty with the problem but no fixes.
I have tried firmware updates uninstalls reininstalls, drivers, changing buffer settings.
I am posting here because I know there are many very smart audio folks here and desperate for help.

It does it on high gain worst but even with the guitar volume all the way down it does it very loud. Cleaner profiles still have the problem just not as loud. Never had this before, same house and settings as always.

Not sure honestly. Been running it the same way for years and years and years and this sound has popped up out of nowhere. It is extremely annoying.
Getting a weird. loud, heartbeat sound pounding noise out of nowhere. Have no clue what it is. I have it isolated to the Kemper or audio interface. Sounds a bit like a metronome pounding when not playing amplified with overdrive channels.
Any ideas?

Very irritated. Did updates a couple days ago. Backed up before I did them. Started everything up and my favorite performance was there as I played it last night. Moved to another one for awhile. Went to go back to my favorite and it is gone. It actually has been replaced with a copy of the one below it.
I do a restore but it does not restore it. Same problem with duplicates no matter what back up I use. Very frustrated.
I have the latest updates and that post is from 2013. So I guess with later updates they made the max decibels from - 18db to 18 db and changed it to -12db to 12db? Only thing I can think it could be. If it was a typo in the thread I would think it would have been called out and edited.
He says in the posts:

My EQ only goes to -12db. What am I missing/

I was having problems with my non powered unit losing volume and doing volume swells. I thought I had it pinned to Rig Manger but now after weeks of no problem the problem is back and makes my unit un usable. I am not loading RM at all nor have I since I thought that was the problem.
I had a ticket in with support but stop communicating once I thought the problem was rig manager.
Tried un-linking in output settings from some research with zero luck.
Got a new PC and having nothing but problems with stuff. The profiler has no drivers installed. I cannot find any drivers. I want to uninstall rig manager and try a fresh install but it seems rig manager has no uninstaller? How do I uninstall it?

So you just do not run rig manager at all now?
I had something similar a while back and was nearly ready to throw everything out the wIndow. The root of the problem was Rig Manager in my case. When creating performances directly on the KPa everything works fine. When using Rig Manager to create performances it has been a total mess for some time. Fortunately RM 3 seems to be very close so hopefully those nightmares will soon be a thing of the past.
I just closed our RM from my PC and did a KPA reboot and it works now. Must be a RM issue from recent update.

Please check the bar representing the level of the Volume Pedal in System Settings page Pedal Links. The symptoms you describe could be explained by an open cable connected to one of the PEDAL sockets being configured for Volume Pedal. So, cable plugged into the PEDAL socket but no expression pedal being attached or switch instead of pedal being attached or pedal being defective. The PROFILER is trying so sense the pedal which leads to a fluctuation of volume at a low level. If Volume Pedal sits pre stack section, this lowers the gain.
Didn't work, problem persists.
