do you have your effects loop enabled in some profiles, but not others?
-
it works as a post-cab effect in the delay slot. I will use this for now, ultimately I'd prefer to use the X slot as a post-cab/delay/verb location for my looper; but I can work with this for now
-
After rereading the original response to my thread back then, it would appear that you might be able to put the Loop in the Delay slot and not be affected by the Cab (back then, that slot wasn't able to be used for anything but delay. Might test this later).
i will definitely try that, I don't use delays much

Weird thing happening with helix and kpa...
Dunno if this will help but maybe it'll inspire.
thats more or less what I'm describing. I don't necessarily know if I'm getting the ice picky results you're talking about, but the bottom line is the effects loop absolutely seems to be pre cab block, no matter what. As I run into more limitations and "quirks" like this with the control interface, the amazing pure amp sounds... Are just barely keeping me holding on to the KPA. I'm no gigging pro, this is just for fun for me, and not being able to use something as basic as a Ditto looper with the KPA makes it hard to justify keeping. Sorry for the off topic rant.

The signal going into the Ditto has the cab in it (or not if you turn it off), so you should expect that. What are you wishing it did?
so what happens is, Rig A is used to record a loop (amp and cab rig), then I switch to Rig B (amp and cab) but the Rig B cab is also effecting the sound of the Ditto in the effects loop. So its a cab after a amp and cab.
-
It is known - see my earlier post. It's right there in the manual
the manual is wrong, or I have found a bug, or setup my loop using the X slot incorrectly(possible?).
-
I have a Ditto in the loop in the X slot, record a loop, and it is absolutely effected by the cab block being engaged or not. The fact that after this many years the product has been out that this is still not known, addressed, fixed is insane (IMHO)
-
I just use the new Rig Edit application to make changes to... Oh right, there isn't a Rig Edit application.
-
is that a variant of the Mark II C# or Mark II PHP ?
-
Yeah thats a much better setup for SRVness.
-
The D2 profile would probably be the closest to TF. The profiles are pretty dry, which is personal preference, but I feel like that albums is heavy on verb. Again, to me, with my guitar, it's also bass heavy.
I have a Strat with a Rosewood neck and pickups from a Kenny Wayne Shepard signature Strat, and it's close. Those pickups are a little hot and a little more wide response sounding than a vintage Strat. I also play 9s and don't have SRVs hands and ferocious playing style...
My point is, these profiles will get you very close, but you can't be afraid to tweak them for your gear, ears and style. Don't be discouraged if you fire it up and don't get the mixed and mastered tones of the album.

Downloaded the Axe Profile, sounds really good, for my setup (and ears) I dropped the bass (-2.6) and treble (-0.6), upped the Bias and Pure cab. I'm really liking this tone, and marked it as a favorite pretty quickly. I can't say it's massively different than some Morgan profiles I've downloaded from the RE. I have to try the cabinet with a couple of my other rigs.

Meet up with someone with an AxeFX2 and profile that preset...

Woah there. Do not do this. I'd much rather if there is a problem that Kemper know about it and fix it and that Cederic achieve what he wants with the equipment he has.
@Cederick - I will echo others here. You have to profile the real thing that sounds and reacts how you want on record rather than trying to make other profiles sound and react like something they are not.Deleting comment based upon other post edits from the OP

Life is too short, just sell your Kemper and move on. It's really not worth getting this stressed over, with so many other good options out there.
-
its funny, from these first couple comments, is your output that you were sending to the FOH set to Wet or Effects only?
-
Also btw, 300,000 units??? That's Boss or Line6 beginner product level sales. That would put Kemper Profiler and Remote (estimate 3:1 profiler to remote ratio) Gross Revenue conservatively at $750 million USD or $140 million USD per year of production. Just as a point of reference, Fender Music Instruments Corporation's gross revenue per year is around $175 Million USD. I love my Kemper Profiler, but Kemper nowhere near the size of Fender.

id say in the 50,000-75,000 range. As someone said, there's 35000 registrations, but that doesn't account for users with multiples, or even Artists with 10 who have soundguys that manage everything. However, I do wonder how they manage used sales registrations. I bought mine second hand and registered. Do they un-register the user who had the serial number unit that I now have?

not sure if its Spam for me to recommend a commercial Rig, but Guidorists XTC Merged profiles nail this sound with my Les Paul copy with Duncan Alnico II pickups.
