  • Why My Kemper Sound is Bad and muffled?

    Do you have an option to try it with all other things in your chain replaced....cables, soundcards, monitors...so you can rule out its in your chain somewhere?

    Not optimistic...cause you face the same issue with headphones....

    Did you check for noisegates in stomps? (Also longshot, cause not all profiles have that..)

    Did you check for phase inverts somewhere?
    Try the mono out to rule out that. (Doesnt work If your speakers are out of phase)

    Maybe someone can recommend a phase plug-in to monitor that?

  • Anyone have experience with Eastman guitars?

    Imo they beat the competition by a mile when compared within same price ranges.
    Also, on many occasions where id visit a shop which has about 100 archtops..from new to vintage....from 1k to 40k priceranges....id end up with an eastman in the top 3, disregarding any pricetags.

    I got close to buying the pisano...but choose for a Benedetto.
    I recently got me a used el rey...very nice guitar!

  • Powered or non-powered? Please impart your wisdom

    I regret not getting the powered version, so I added a camplifier later.
    Although my main rig still includes a 90s tube power section, having the option to grab the kpa and a 1x12 cab as a (great sounding) grab and go rig, is a “very very nice to have”.

    I have not confirmed that the ss amp does it all for me when volume picks up (never had an ss power solution that did), but did not test it thouroughly in that regard yet...it just may.

    Regarding your option 3, seems there is haters and lovers of frfr, find out what you are before deciding.
    Some will blindly advice anyone to go for frfr....im in that “haters” camp :)

    So, id go for the powered version...and you can experiment with the return of your head for rough conditions, also with frfr.

  • Recommended profile for archtop

    Im looking for some profiles to go with a Benedetto fratello, floating s6 pu.
    What I got is on the bright side...(Bert meulendijks, I adore them for my solid bodies)

    Looking for a traditional jazz sound, as well as a methenyisch one.
    Im not ruling out a ss amp btw.
    Direct profile would be nice, cause im gonna play it using cabs.

    Youre right..its not a very big issue...at least something you can work around...nevertheless...does seem like an unintended feature which keeps me wondering in what scenario im hearing dry guitar signal + effects only.

Basically I got absolutely zero difference between both methods.     When I disable the preamp of a profile. (Front button)
    And monitor through monitor out.
    With the cabs global disabled on that output...(checkbox in the output section)

    I hear a clear difference between switching the cabs on and off on the front...there shouldnt be cause they are disabled it the output section)

    Can anyone try to reproduce this on their device please?....iow...as designed or a failure in my device / os.

    Edit: with the amp section on..this phenomena does not occur btw..
    Edit, occurs in performance mode...didnt try the other..

  • Acoustic set up

    Hi all,

    Im looking into reducing the footprint of my gear, and increasing the ease of use.

    Part of that is getting a camplifier to do at least jazz gigs with, not sure If its gonna replace the tube power section I love so much with my kpa for others.

    Having a ss amp in my kpa makes me think of also using that for acoustic gigs. I sometimes play a nylon through an aer amp.
    I really love the sound of those...

    I guess it would require hooking a passive frfr speaker to the kpa.

    Anyone experienced with playing acoustics through a set up like that?
    Any recommended speakers?....maybe even passive hybrids that do both frfr as well as guit speaker? (Im really not into frfr for electric sounds)
    Any recommended profiles for preamping a nylon? (I remember Bert meulendijk has some If im correct)

  • New Strat..

    Check 90s build levinson blade R4 or rh4, those come with fendershape headstocks.
    Best strats i know..on par with any of the toplines...and they go between 800 and 1200.

    Thin neck, ebony fb, jumbo frets, great trem, passive but also an active circuit.
    Very consistent builds, all play like butter, order unseen if you have to :)

  • Cubase ur44 routing issue

    I could not get an answer on the cubase forum so im trying my luck here:

    I run cubase elements 8 and a ur44 soundcard.

    The issues:

    All sound i send to my stereo outs (1&2) gets routed to my inputs 1 and 2. Its visable on the input section of the cubase mixer. Also when i record something the result is what i recorded...plus everything i was playing back on other channels.

    Also...when i chance the output of the Channel i want to record...there is no input at all...which is weird...cause i only changed the output setting.

    I inputs 3 and 4 dont have this strange phenomona...those work as i would expect.

    Seems like theres some weird link that connects my outputs to these inputs....but i have no clue where...
