Yeah, sure save as a different file and then the original version is preserved. When saving the modified profile under a new name I would want to have the name indicate that the profile is a Liquid Profile.

I will be using LQ at the end of the profile name for all new profiles. LP will confuse people who will think Les Paul.
Not with pre-liquid profiles.
You can apply the tone stack - but unless you know where the knobs were during the profiling process, it’s not going to be accurate.

I know that even people who never owned a real amp can benefit from liquid profiles, especially if they know the amp settings of the original profile. If the original amp settings are not known, it's kind of hit and miss. For those of us who profile our own amps only one profile is needed instead of many snapshots at different settings.
Have you tested liquid profiling yet ?
The EQ settings and gain of the profiled amp are saved with the profile so anyone who loads it will get the full benefit.
So my 6505 posted above for example, can be loaded and the profiled amp settings are loaded with the profile which can then be tweaked and react like the real amp.
I see Liquid profiles being intended more for those of us who actually profile our own amps.

If this works well (I need to more testing) an amp pack that used to contain loads of different settings could be reduced to one good liquid profile per cab/mic and have more alternate mics or cabs for less time spent profiling.
just thinking about rig manager organising based on "gain".
I made a 6505 profile with gain at 5.
The kemper used to translate this as gain at about 8 but now with liquid the gain is actually on 5 like the amp.
So if I order by gain in rig manager, this will appear as about the same gain as a crunchy JCM 800 even though it is super high gain.
Different amps have very different amounts of gain at the same settings so it's going to be interesting 
Actually just checked and the "Gain" in rig manager shows the amount of gain, not the gain control setting so all good =]

I haven't posted anything here in a long time.
Been super busy in the studio.
Anyway, the new king of mics for metal guitar is the Austrian Audio OC18 so here is a new free profile.
Maxon OD808 to 6505 to Recto 4x12 to Austrian Audio OC18.
Once Liquid Profiling becomes available I'm going to get a new big metal pack done so watch this space.

6505 to Marshall 1960av.
906 is smoother with more mids and sounds more like the amp in the room.
A 57 makes all high gain amps sound similar but with the 906 you can hear more of the subtle differences between amps.
for live use the 906 is great because of the full mids and also doesn’t have the high mid “ice pick” of the 57.
I always try both mics when I’m recording a band and lately the 906 keeps getting picked.

This is a great free profile.
The EVH is really tight and a tubescreamer can be too much low cut but the OCD drive is a great boost for it.

yeah. Same mics as that older one. You have a good memory 
I don’t think I used the Aurora audio mic pre then. (Don’t think I had it).
the Aurora gives beautiful fatness and smoothness so thus profile is big and not fizzy.
I also think the profiling algorithm has improved since then with none if the cocked wah sound that sometimes ended up in the profile.

There are countless 6505/5150 to Mesa cab rigs but this one is SD-1 Waza boost with Sennheiser E906 mic so sounds a bit different.
Currently re-amping an album with the real amp left and this profile right and it sounds great.
