Make sure that the minimum volume knob at your pedal is set to min and recalibrate pedal 2 with this setting at the kemper

Jon Herington solid guitar work for steely dan since many years one of my favorit guitarists…yeah!

In your first video (remote connection) you can see something on the second contact spring from the left which might cause the trouble

hi jon,
the ibanez issue is clearly a design fault because every instrument seems to show the behaviour
with similar fault at lr baggs forum i tried to say that there is a possibility of a faulty circuit.
when there is dc at the output you have a defective circuit.
but first of all you have to proof. you can do it easy this way:
if the issue is permanent you can check dc voltage at guitar output:
- get a voltmeter and switch to dc measurement
- connect guitar to kemperand ensure the issue is there
- disconnect the cable plug from kemper input and measure voltage between tip and sleeve, normally should be 0 volt
when you get dc voltage you have to repair the lr baggs
when not...?

hi nightstick
before talking how to solve the issue you have to confirm whats happening
from my point of view dons tip to first rule out the battery is absolutly correct, trying different new batterys should be adequate.
please keep also in mind that the lyric power switch could cause trouble. i think you are using a guitarcable with mono plugs, so i think the plug into your guitar is also the power switch. the contact may be dirty so try to clean by moving the plug several times in out out.

please consider:
- the issue described in the New Ibanez GSR200 Bass works with Helix but Not Kemper thread is not a kemper fault but from my point of view a design fault by ibanez
- every electronic circuit can fail even satellites or nuclear power plants. when you search the lr baggs forum you can find several similar faults
so wish you good luck

In another thread we just learnd that DC voltage at the kemper input can make the kemper mute
Perhaps you can check your guitar output for DC voltage
-
Perhaps there is DC voltage at the bass output which makes the kemper mute?
-
Please check line frequency setting in systems menue
-
And never remove or isolate protection earth as ground-lift!
-
So if you dont have the original kemper cable first step is to assure that your cable meets the kemper specs:
Until 7,5 mtr AWG24
Until 5 mtr AWG26
Dont use AWG28 cables
-
How about the original kemper cable?

I once had clicks caused by electrostatic discharge to bad shielded pu introduced by moving the hand on the pickguard
You can try moving your hand like playing but without picking the strings to see if this leads to clicks

If you run 8 and 16 ohm in parallel i think this will result in 5,33 ohm

Hallo

Maybe I m wrong but I think the input gate is already intelligent hum canceling

Hi,
Im using a G7TH performance capo and its working very fine, comparable to playing bar chords.
Thats just a clamp without spring to press on and holds exactly that force. Press only until no buzz or ringing occurs and set it near the fret.
Very important is the rubber material to bring the force to the different string gauges and to damp buzzing and ringing.
This is a very fine piece of gear which I can highly recommend
Cheers -
Hi
What kind of cable do you use,TRS or mono?
