Thanks for that. I will investigate and try out the beta. Cheers!

I would like to try out the new liquid profiles. I understand that I need to download and install the bets 10.0.0 However, what do I need to do for the Rig Manager? Is there a new version? I am running 3.4.32.
Also is there a collection of Liquid Tone EQs to download.
Thanks in advance.

Have done so and resolved the issue. I was not dragging to the active performance, ie. the one with the headphone symbol beside it. Thanks to support and how prompt they were.

Of course as I am trying to amend the Performance slots in my Kemper. Drag and drop and Cut and paste do not work for me. I normally have one Rig Manager window active on performances and another Rig Manager window open in My Profiler Rigs. You should be able to drag a new Rig ro overwrite a Performance slot surely? I have submitted a Support Request.
-
I can't modify performances. I can no longer replace a rig by dragging and dropping or copy and pasting. Even the empty Performances all have a basic crunch Rig when the slot is turned on and this cannot be replaced. It's making the Kemper impossible to use as a performance tool.

Ummm! That is logical. I did not introduce morphing into those patches, well unless I did so accidentally. I have not used morphing so will need to find out more about it. Thank you.

Actuall I have a little squre with an M on the right side of the bass, middle, treble and Presence after they have been moved.

The tone controls no longer work properly since the update. They don't work in edit mode either. The parameter changes are very slow and laggy. This seems to happen mostly in Browser mode. Am I the only one?

Rig Manager does not communicate with my Profiler.

I have the 8.5.8.30570 installed on the Kemper and the Rg Manager is 3.2.48.17248 which I assume are the most up to date versions.
However Rig Manager will not communicate with the Profiler. Is this a bug or have I doe something wrong. Everything worked fine until I was alerted for an update. How do I revert to the version that worked?
Thanks in advance.

Can you turn off the active electronics and run the bass in passive mode?
If the tuner works with the bass then something must be activated. Tuner mute? Input sensitivities?
Presumably this happens on all profiles?

First, Kemper Drive, gives you a 100% accurate feeling that you have a hardware pedal in front of your Profiler.
KD its not a 1:1 emulation of every possible setting of those pedals, but the real pedals have some sweetspots that KD tried to reproduce. Sound wise, KD is very close to the settings it tries to emulate, not 100%, but as good as any other hardware clone in the market, with even more flexibility.

I agree with V8, about accuracy.
Tumnus is not an accurate clone of a Klon, but it sounds good.
If KD feels good, sounds good, your are ready to go.
Thank you Syntek that answered my question. I don't think I would have found the post you linked. I have found that the definition control is very useful in controlling the amount of bass if used carefully. I have also been experimenting with combining some of these drive sound to interesting effect.
I am now going to experiment with different amp types. The Fender Deluxe seemed to like the sound of the Klon a lot.
-
Thanks for that.
I am still wondering about the accuracy or not of the Kemper drive emulations/profiles. I am enjoying how they sound as I am not a player who likes the full throated roar of full on amp overdrive. I am more Robben Ford and Larry Carlton soundwise, although sadly not playing wise.
-
I am just wondering how accurate these emulations in the Kemper Drive are. I must admit that I am loving these two in particular and wonder how the sound stacks up against the hardware.
Also could I use the hardware version of a Klon type pedal like the Wampler Tumnus in front of the Kemper?
Cheers!

I don't know how relevant this is but I use an RME Fireface UC and track post Stack without the efx section as I can provide better effects for the guitar using UAD or Plugin Alliance. I monitor the guitar direct through the mixer and not through the DAW. I do find that the sound in the DAW if I use the EFX section to be less present. I have always put that down to the way that efx affects the sound in a mix. The guitar sound is much easier to get right adding compression, eq, reverb and delay in the Daw.

Yeah well the last iteration served me well, with no saving issues. Just because it is a Beta it doesn't mean we can't get frustrated with it. I am perfectly willing to help with the development of the software, but it does concern me how many times I had to restart over the Beta Programme. What I probably meant to say was that if the issue with saving new profiles was ok why is it now an issue again.
-
I had thought by now the issues would be a thing of the past but now I cannot save a profile without getting the Damage Screen which asks for a restart on Browser holding down the Rig Button. It happens every time I save a profile. Surely to goodness these updates are tested?
I guess I will have to go back to the official release if I can!!!
Grrrrr!
Oh yes I can't read the Profiler version number as something is printed on top of the number.

I have just about lost patience with the various iterations of Rig Manager with regards to saving a performance. I have spent a while trying to save 5 rigs to one performance overwriting 3 of them. The original profiles keep coming back. I save on the Profiler. Nothing I do seems to work. I am getting really fed up with the inability of RN3 to work as it is supposed to. Drag and drop does not seem to work properly. Eventually I initialised the performance and started again and that seemed to work.
