I have a powered rack and one unpowered cab. To go stereo, I would need only a powered Kabinet at $789.

Otherwise, a second unpowered Kab for $480 and the stereo amp for $399 = $879 <--- more expensive plus you loose warranty??

I'm pretty sure my math works.

What I was pointing out with the British Audio mod is that it is possible to convert the existing Kemper / Ice power amp from mono to stereo. Its not a replacement. It also appears this could have been done originally by Kemper with a slightly different design and an extra output jack. I think they really missed the mark by making their power heads a bridged design and I think they missed a lot of sales too. I certainly would have bought the powered version if it had been a stereo powered head! Hypothetically, if that had been done at the factory, you wouldn't have lost any warranty and you would have been able to save a lot of money having the ability of using 2 passive cabs for stereo instead of what you suggested.

That is interesting. But more expensive than adding a powered Kabinet.

Not if you were going stereo. Currently the powered cab cost $380 more than the un-powered cab. What I am suggesting is adding the same power amp which is currently used in the power heads which cost $426 more than the un-powered toaster. If that amp was modded to be able to use it mono bridged or stereo that would actually could be a cheaper solution than using two power cabs.

Here is a company (British Audio) that mods the current Power head's from Kemper and converts them from 600w mono to 300w per side stereo. So it can be done using the existing amp. I think it's the perfect time for Kemper to make this mod a stock feature. It would also solve the problem others seem to be having with the current 200w powered Kone cab's which some have reported not be loud enough.

"This modification takes your mono 600W amplifier and converts it into 2 x 300W amplifiers with Left and Right outputs. We take care of your rear panel as well."

I remember reading somewhere that the 600w Ice power amp in the toasters and rack are a bridged design and could be made into a stereo amp? I would enjoy a Kemper 1x12 powered cab with a higher powered amp having a stereo amp with a bridgeable option. This way you could use it 600w into the 1 x 12 or use it 300w stereo powering the internal 1x 12 and another passive cab either a pair of Kones with imprints or use it with 1 Kone cab / imprinted and one normal passive guitar speaker cab. Perhaps cab specific impedance options? Any additional outputs and switches needed to make this happen could be built into the powered cab?

I'd love to see a 2 X 12 Cabinet with Kemper Kones offering a removable back panel to be able to make it a true open or a closed back cab. I've read in the forum that the Kone speakers can support a bass, but not in the current Kemper cabs which rattle from the extended lows. I would like to see a new cab reinforced enough to be able to use it with a bass as well as guitar. It would be nice if it also had a removable port in the front for even more extended bass output when needed. Options for stereo power amp built in and an un-powered version. Heavy duty metal corners to make it road worthy.

I have played through many of the old Roland JC120 amps and even though the the stereo field was not spread across the room, it still gave an awesome stereo sound which was worlds bigger and better than mono.

Sharry & Monkey Man, thanks for the work around ideas and yes I do use RM to help manage my profiles. But it still would be very helpful to have the ability to better manage my favorites without my desktop computer connected. It is not portable like my Kemper is.

I understand that this was not foreseen option but that is the beauty of a software OS. I'm not looking for Kemper to add new hardware knobs, just an option to a future OS to make navigating through the favorites in a more detailed and for me, a more desirable way. Another option that could work is to have favorites A,B & C that would not necessarily be tied together, but be seperate favorite banks for different uses.

Another related request, it would be helpful that when scrolling through rigs, to be able to wrap around the alphabet. For instance, when you reach the Z rigs and keep scrolling to the right you would go back to the A rigs without having to scroll backwards.

Hopefully there is a way to do this but in reading through the manual I haven't found a way. I play a lot of styles and have many instruments that require different profiles. I have saved quite a few favorites but wish there was a way to organize them better by being able to create my own sub favorites folders within a master favorites folder. That way I could choose only partial favorites, like live only or studio only favorites or to be able to separate them for Clean favorites, Crunch favorites, Dirty favorites, Bass favorites etc.

Sometimes I want to flip through profiles I have set aside I think a client or a friend might like and it would be nice to quickly audition them without having to go through my entire favorite rigs I have which has gotten unwieldy.

One other favorites request, Please bring back making favorites by holding down the rig button. That used to work with OS 2xx but has stopped working on OS 3XX. Also it would be nice to be able to know if a rig is a favorite or not besides the miniscule little star. Thanks.
