Rhett said in a different forum that he did refine the profile.
I would also be interested in hearing more about what CK thought about the pedal captures.

This ^^^
I only listened once to the YT vid not the wav's - initial impression was that the QC was a tad louder (maybe it was just the top end I was noticing). And did he re-amp the same take back through the amp / devices or play them real time - the Kemper take felt different - maybe just me?
Anyways, interesting new tech. Will see where Kemper goes from here on, pretty sure they won't just roll over.
Someone analyzed the wav's and said they weren't the same take.
In the facebook kemper group someone posted some graphs showing that the QC had more high end than the real amp. The guy who posted it said it was aliasing. It got deleted for some reason, but I think it could be true based on listening to the sound sample. I got the feeling that there was extra high end listening to some other QC captures as well.
And still you believed you heard they were not identical. Don't get me wrong I'm not picking on you. That's how we are fooled. If we want something to sound better, we will believe it sounds better. Even pro mixing engineer gets fooled sometimes something sounds better with a few cut or boost only to realise they hadn't touched the EQ.
Yup I know psychology impacts how we perceive sound. That's why I was open to being wrong and was checking to see if Rhett updated the files.
The files themselves also weren't identical when I looked at the data in the files, but I guess the end result was the same.
Rhett's files were the same. He updated them.
I read the youtube comments, and it sounds like Rhett may have uploaded the same file twice for the kemper and amp files.
I looked at the inner contents of the files though, and it seems like they're different. To me they didn't sound identical.
We'll see if Rhett says one way or the other.
I thought so too based on the youtube video. I listened to the wav files after that though and the kemper sounded closer.
Todd78 Almost all of them are merged. There's a pdf that comes with the pack that says which ones are merged and which ones aren't.
Theyetti1 how was the live ready sound pack?
The pack is great! The closest you’ll get to a Fortin amp in the pack is the Hiwatt which I believe is Fortin designed.
Looks like it’s this amp:
Bought his profiles and have been really digging them! Very thick, rich, and detailed sounds and great for Cameron tones since they are official. This video gives you the best idea of how they sound in my opinion
Dan's profiles are also my favorites.
Would you consider making more profiles of the amps you profiled for your free packs and perhaps offer them for sale? I'm particularly interested in some profiles of the hi watt with distortion pedals. Great sounding profiles btw.
These are excellent! Been enjoying playing your bogner fish, soldano x88, and CAE3+ profiles as well.
These are indeed very good!
Wow these are really great. Will be looking forward to more in the future.
These sound great! I have a lot of your profiles, and I love the clarity and what sounds to me like richness your profiles have. Looking forward to more!
