Firmware updates/checks should be built into rig manager, with a check box that says "beta versions" yes/no

be sure to install rig manager 1.3.1
I created a local folder called "Top Jimi AFD100" and dragged the profiles into there, then once my kemper is on, drag these onto the "on my kemper" bit in rig manager... hey presto, imported fine
-
Im on V3.0 and these AFD100's imported fine, also purchased the Suplerlead 74 pack, and they are fine too.
-
Go to your "purchase history" and re download the packs... They have the key inside.. (This is custom shop packs only)

Hi I had a play around tonight and profiled my Ampeg SVT-7 pro, & when compared to your profile... yours wins hands down... warmer, rounder! (played on 73` US Jazz bass)
Still not yet plugged my kemper into a cab. but I think it will sound great! -
Im not sure about focusrite or logic... but the way I re-amp using Cubase pro 8 with RME card...
(using Spdif i/o) be careful you dont make a feedback loop, best experiment with quiet headphones or monitors on low until you are sure you have it right..Does your focusrite have spdif in and out? if so connect them both up
1. on the kemper set the input channel to spdif
2. in your daw assign the track that has the Di guitar/bass to spdif output
3. create a new track armed for record set this to spdif inputnow when you press play on your project your guitar signal should be sent to the kemper, and the return spdif channel you will record... ( i would suggest monitoring the analogue outs for zero latency)
Also be sure your project is in 44.1 as I don't think the kemper can clock to anything else.
if its in a different sample rate then you would be best to re-amp using analoge i/oit also shows you how to do this in better detail in the kemper manual

ah sorted thanks! loaded and ready to test next rehearsal;)
-
I've tried importing this using rig manager, but keep getting "import failed, only profiler rigs can be imported"
is this as it was created with a newer firmware and the rig manager doesn't support it?
(my profiler is on 2.8.0)Thanks
Garry -
Thanks got it! (May be a week or so though until my kemper is with my cab to test) will let you know
-
Would love to try this out with my svt410 cab... Please fix the link:)

I don't think its just the author field.. I just Tested changing any value on mass causes the issue too. (I tested changing a load from guitar to bass) same bug.. I don't think they would (or could) have a random bug that does it sometimes after differing amounts of edits. Its just a bug.
Also if it was intentional, surely they would just pop up a warning in rig manager instead of hard crashing your valuable amp causing a forced power off.
(Changing values in bulk is fine in the local rig database, the crash happens when its updating live on the "my profiler" rigs.) So kemper are not preventing anything on purpose.

Ive just tested something similar...
running 2.8.0 I renamed about 300 profiles from AND44 to TheAmpfactory, it got up 48 completed then crashed.. all leds went off... the display just says "KEMPER PROFILER"
The sound of the last amp i was playing is still working..Had to power off/on again to get back into it, I understand that the firmware is "experimental"
This is repeatable... did the same again, this time after 41 renames it crashed
-
Sounds a great idea... Although i dont think its such a good idea having the key inside the zip? If that zip gets spread/given to a friend/pirated etc... Then everyone gets access..
Probably best to email the keys and not in zip. -
Love this amp, and your profiles are stunning! sits so well in mixes.
-
its even better than i imagined it to be! 6 hours of playing feels like about 20 minutes! Glad its nearly the weekend.. I can see a couple of late nights on the cards!
Also thanks to Andy for the awesome bundles...
Purchased the Marshall bundle, fentastic, vintage & rare & the Evil robot packs, also some nice svt bass tones from Sonic underground.
I love this unit! -
Go to your profile on the main kemper site (upper right corner) where you can center your serial#.Ah! thats it:) thankyou
-
Arrived safe & sound to work today, unboxed and racked it after lunch, not yet powered it on, that will have to wait a few hours until I get home.
I have the serial number but I dont see anywhere on my forum profile to add itThanks

awesome thanks again for your help!
I have downloaded quite a few free packs, purchased a couple of amp factory packs and imported them into the library manager ready:) Roll on tomorrow! -
Don't forget to install Rig Manager a lot easier to preview profiles this way
Just installed it, looks great! 5712 free profiles!
Is there a limit as to how many can be stored on the kemper?
