I've had this happen too and the culprit was a string ringing out behind the nut I just damped it with hair ties and it fixed it for me. best of luck👍👍

Try a graphic eq after the amp in the X slot and bring 4 k and 8k way down then try boost or cut 1and 2 k
-
Update up on kemper site
-
Try turn down the global eqs all the way and then bring them up a bit I've always found the flat eq to be a bit too bright but it depends of course on what you're listening through.

Hi
I started putting a parametric eq in the x slot and on the first page of the eq there's bass and treble controls and I'm finding adjusting these is working a treat. I drop both levels quite a lot and then turn up the eq vol on the last page to make up a bit of level lost. At least for me its working well on the profiles I've tried and I'm finding I'm not tweaking profiles but just using the x slot eq to make it sound right. If anyone tries this let me know if it works for you👍

I wonder Could you play the first phrase and loop it and play the harmony part over it haven't tried it but might work
-
Try a graphic eq in the x slot and lower 10k and the one beside it 6k I think it is. Also you could trylowering high shift in the cab block to a negative value, best of luck☘️

Hi ya its there alright I just think it's a little bit too much and I'd like to be able to use the mix knob to be able to dial it, out thanks for the replys guys👍👍👍👍
Cheers lads👍👍👍

Hi would it be possible to remove the amount of dry signal under the kemper drive and green scream effects, even at 100% mix I can hear it, I know its by design but the mix knob can be used if required to add some back in. I'd like the mix at 100% to be actually 100% and not the 80% or so as it sounds to me at the moment anyway🙂 I find it more noticeable on profiles with 0. 0 gain, it does diminish with a bit of gain added to the amp thanks

Try the high shift in the cab block bring it to - 5 and sweep it back up towards 0 and see if it hits those frequencies. best of luck with it?

The doubler sounds fantastic, I had the phasing sound at first but I swopped over my outputs I think I had them mixed up, and then got a cool wide big sounding 3d type effect, very cool?
-
Yes, I looked at all of that.
the eq for mains and monitor are both set the exact same already.
I can’t readily see a parameter that would explain the drastic tone difference. And there is a big “feel” difference.
the monitor out sounds /feels like when you turn the cab block off when running into your DAW.Not quite that drastic but it approaches that type of thing.
harsh, sterile and brittle sounding and feeling.I wouldn't leave both eqs the same I'd eq the monitor output eq to suit the cab. might help a bit
-
Monitor output has its own global eq in the output menu so you can adjust it there to suit the power amp and cab setup without interfering with the foh main output. You also have global high and low cut in the output menu but that effects all outputs. You probably knew all this already but hope its helpful best of luck ??

The interview Kemper just released on YouTube says now this has been released they are going to look at and discuss the possibility / viability of iOS 12 compatibility and an iPhone app - so those are both definitely on their radar.
Ian
Thanks Ian ????

I'm not a developer but since v13 iPads use iPadOS and not iOS. So I don't think, there will be an backwards compatibility.
And on the other hand: Hardware that uses iOS 12 is over 7 years old and will not get any security updates any more. So I wouldn't recommend to use it anyway.
Thanks spotter it still gets updates but just not os13 thanks for the reply
-
My ipad air only only has os12 any chance of a version that works with older ipads thanks

Hi
you should use monitor out for your cabs and in the output menu find the monitor out cab off setting, monitor out can be in stereo if you use the direct out/ send as well. Your drummer can use the main outs then. Main outs have xlr and 1/4" jack's so you can give him any of those
Good luck with it?

If I get the cocked wah sound I just use the high shift in the cab section and move it to a negative value and a lot of the time it gets rid of it.
I think the quad is going to be an excellent unit and I really like the form factor and apparent ease of use. I'm sure the tones will great too and like most of these things it will improve over time.
Kemper is still a great unit tho very happy with it.
