Put simply, I think it is a MUCH harder task to get a good result with multiple mics. Those that do it well are few and have a good understanding of how the two sources interact and what frequencies might be over represented or cancel each other out. Every time I try to record a massive guitar sound combining many or mics, I end up giving up and simplifying it

I really like starting with the default tills recto presets and adding tube screamer or playing with different cabs. Have tried a few and keep coming back to these

If I'm understanding what you are trying to achieve, I don't think there is any point...the signal going to the pa is the same your headphone out, unless you change the eq, and any EQ changes should be monitored through the pa as the pa would be the only variable in this situation

I never succeed in obtainin a huge sound in duplicate samples... i tried, with delay, reverb, Eq...
but the best sound I've obtained, is when I play and record 2 times the same riff, arpeges... (i suppose it is the very difference of playing between the 2 shots, that makes the sound)I think everyone can agree with this, but I like even more when each take has a hint of ambience on the opposite channel...that's the point I was trying to make

I realize this, but to me this is the more direct path. Believe me I've tried the moving a few samples thing and have never gotten a "huge" sound with this alone unless it is to correct a phase issue...but add some modulation or a very short room sound (all wet) to the duplicate and it can get interesting!

Apparently there is a pan function now? I haven't seen where it is but if there was you could assign that to a cc pedal right?

I am wondering if anyone can shed some light on a glitch I'm having...
I downloaded all of the rigs from some Kemper clinic, and after deleting most of them, they still appear (by name only) on my unit...meaning there is a dead zone when cycling through them until I hit the next "proper" preset/rig. At this particular point I was playing with rig manager (I normally do all of my transfers via USB stick) and although I believe I tried deleting them via the software as well as directly from the unit, I can't quite remember which. I'd rather not go poking around and deleting again in case I erase something or make an error I can't reverse. I've only had this problem with these Thomas Dill(?) rigs and can't think for the life of me why??

I personally like to engineer my guitar sound as much as possible before it is recorded and, to some extent, this includes effects. I've always loved the studio sound where a heavily panned guitar sound is still "stereo" because there is a wet only reverb or delay on the other side.
This means when you "double track" you actually already have 4 channels of guitar. Even if you decide to change it later, you still have one dry channel (per side) that isn't wasted. To have control of dry signal panning, as well as independent of reverb/delay or even modulation on the KPA would be perfect for this purpose.
Imagine the possibilities live as well...whether you are in a one or 2 guitar band, having this control per preset if/when you have the luxury of a stereo FOH rig would be sublime, and surely not that hard to implement. This is something I wish desperately that they include in future updates.
As the Kemper is currently,I still like to record both sides, even if they are both dry, as it gives the option to use one as a reverb only channel (added via plugin) down low in the mix and panned to the other side. I won't always use it but it's nice to have it there. Surley I'm not the only one? lol

Proper cab and amp separation! Slowly Kemper are addressing every small niggle I'm sure several of us share, and will e the undisputed king. Hopefully a normal input/output display and adjustment follows suit...I won't keep going just yet..

I don't know if its already been mentioned, but ISP make a great little stereo power amp called a stealth, it's about $500 here in Australia. It's stereo and runs class a/b. I've seen someone with it fitted to their Kemper toaster, not heaps neat but is at least compact and by all accounts loud and nice sounding

That lead tone works great doesn't it? Nice job!!

That sounds sweet man! Any chance you could share the settings on the wah, or is it an external one?
-
Sounds like a great idea CK
*edit: Wait...is this already a thing??

That's tough as man. Nice!

Fair enough. I'm pretty sure that one
isnt the only place I had seen it though. In fact, I think the Kemper FB page was where I first read it...talking about giving it a bit more appeal for bass players. Damn, I got all excited for nothing -
Big fan of my AKG K240, especially for guitars. Kinda hard to explain, but I find it simultaneously highlights problems and flatters the sounds...usually no surprises when taking mixes to other sources too
P.S. For the love of God, please don't buy beats

Man, I'm stoked I finally got around to exploring rig manger properly yesterday. Normally I would just skip by these JVM profiles as the real thing has never floated my boat, but now that it's so easy to preview them, I'm trying all of them haha. Really impressed with your 215c profiles, I'm sure they'll become staple tones on on my KPA. Thanks for uploading:)

Can you save your rigs, then import them into a backup that works?
-
I've done that before. Definitely need to be careful what you lock. If you weren't already aware, you can see exactly what's locked by holding the lock button in browse mode. I've found this helpful a lot.

Killer profile, I love it!
