I can live with the latency, its the artifacts that spoil it for me! I only use it for working out songs with an E flat tuning!

My old rig, ADA 3TM ultra & Digitech 256XL Multieffects kept returning a "MIDI data framing error".... time to get a new gig rig! Circa 2015 the buzz was all about Kemper!

Are you running a 'stereo widener' post amp and running out in stereo? It makes both sides sound different, and your problem could be attributed to this? I had a similar issue last year, and tracked it down to the stereo widener!

What @DonPeterson said above! I had a load of legacy rack gear when I first bought my kemper.... The inboard effects made them all obsolete!

71Daves Bought one of these a few weeks ago! My setup is VERY simple, but it works a treat!

I had this issue after an update! I sorted it (via recommendations from Kemper support) by 'calibrating' the pedal again.... including the footswitch (its a mission expression pedal BTW)

Thanks! Just found this in the manual!:
You could even just restore a backup created on a PROFILER Head, Rack or Stage model. This way, you could transfer the entire content of your Performance Mode, with all of its 625 Slots, into the Player at Level III and use it for your next rehearsal or gig. MIDI controllers for loading Slots and control effects in Performance Mode are 100% compatible with the Player at Level III. You might just need to reconsider your workflow regarding foot switch and pedal control and remember that effect loops are not supported by the Player hardware.
Thread closed I guess

Just bought a Kemper player, after being a rack user for the past 10 years. My question is, if you upgrade to level 3, can you restore the rack backup to your player, essentially creating a clone of your rack, with all settings intact? Looking to build a fly-rig of my existing setup for smaller venues.
Thanks in advance

Definately running master stereo to FOH, and I do use the widener, but only on the lead channel per performance. I guess the best way to check is to link to PA with Master L/R and turn effects post stack off? To be fair, both channels summed sound great, but I would like to know whats the cause? Thanks for the recommendations all!

Monitor left/right seem consistent! Mainly delay & reverb post stack. I'll check the panning, but I don't think they're panned hard left/right!
-
As above! I run left & right monitor stereo to 2 cabs, monitor cabs off, and left & right main stereo cab on to FOH, but its been commented on by sound engineers that my left & right signal are different! Anyone else experience this? Is it intentional to ''mix' the 2 channels together, or is it a softward/hardware issue?
-
Its probably the only effect that 'glitches' that I notice when playing with the kemper, and I only use it for learning cover tunes played in e flat or d standard! I'd not use it live, so I'm interested to hear everyones opinion of this effect on the MK2
-
I'm assuming you run the Matrix-212 cab with cab emulation off? It'll need turning on for the FRFR cab.

Assuming you are using the 2 cable method to connect your expression, in the system menu, where you set up the expression pedal, where you have set the switch to on/off for the wah pedal (must be in a stomp effects position) there is a soft button along the top of the screen marked 'calibrate'. try holding this button down whilst pressing the on/off switch. I had the same issue after a global settings reset, and this was the suggested cure by the Kemper team to me that worked!
-
So you have a single expression pedal controlling both wah modules at the same time?
Yep! the only reason you can do it with a kemper... or lots of linkages!

-
One thing I tried, just 'because I could' was to position 2 wahs, 1st & 2nd position, and activate them both using the effects on/off switches in a performance. This gives a much more pronounced wah effect! Probably only something you can do in the Kemper, and may not be the effect you're looking for, but interesting to try out!

Burkhard I held off to try the latest release 12.010, but I'm still getting the same issue (re-install 12.04 to solve the problem) I've created a backup this time and emailled Kemper direct, could you instruct me how to open a support ticket?
-
Anyone else experience this? After upgrading to the latest software, the sound is terrible! I thought at first that my poweramp was failing! Reverting back to 12.04 solved this (luckily I still had that update) but I've tried several times to upgrade but get the same result! Someone on a forum suggested it may be caused by a legacy reverb, but if that is the case, I'm surprised it hasn't been flagged (surely most profiles would have some sort of reverb?) Just highlighting this for the Kemper team Burkhard GString in case the issue hasn't cropped up & hopefully can be resolved in a later update?
