The difference is the function code. You send a single parameter request (0x43), but the slot names will be returned to an extended parameter request (0x47). My code also works with 0xF0 0x00 0x20 0x33 0x02 0x7F as the sysex header
Ok. This is right. I appreciate very much your help.

It's from the Profiler Midi Documentation:
Request Extended String Parameter
The function code $47 can be used to request a textual value for a string parameter. The requested
text value is being send back with function code $07 or $035. The controller number is being encoded
with 5 bytes (instead of 2). Encoding can be found on Page 13.Thanks again for your explain.
All examples in the documentation begin with 0xF0 0x00 0x20 0x33 0x02 0x7F, where 0x02 0x7F are for the Kemper profiler, so i was trying always whit this data header. I don´t understand why this message has the product type = 0x00 0x00. -
To get the slot names you have to send
0xF0, 0x00, 0x20, 0x33, 0x00, 0x00, 0x47, 0x00, 0x0, 0x00, 0x01, 0x00, <slot number>, 0xF7Slot Numbers 1-5
Number 0 returns the name of the performanceOh! Many thanks, digitalflip. It's work!!!
Please, can you say me where you find the info? -
Yes, I try to read it carefully, but my english isn't the best one and the MIDI sysEx seem a little complicated
-
I'm trying to get the name of the preset and the names of the slots in performance mode:
[Blocked Image: http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x47/paco_reina/IMG_4257_zpsjobfhs5w.jpg]In this example will be "ALL RIGHT NOW" and "ESTROFA", "SOLO WAH"
I send sysEx 0xf0, 0x00, 0x20, 0x33, 0x02, 0x7f, 0x43, 0x00, X, Y, 0xf7 (X and Y are variables) and I get strings like:
Input Preset; Amplifier Preset; ...;FAS X99 LEAD Paco; etc, but nothing like "ALL RIGHT NOW"Anybody knows the string that I need to sed?
Is there a list of all sysEx messages in any where? -

Is PVC hand made.
PVC can be bent with a heat gun. It is resistant, easy to cut and glue the parts welded together. -

Thanks again.
Yes, you must be Kemper proprietary protocol. Your solution with the outer case seems very correct, even we can get power from KPA ethernet port.
Anyway, I will study the option of protocol on Ethernet.I you connect your KPA in your home network, you can see this in your pc browser:

Thanks, Mortl.
So, you are using just one midi in and external power.I will study ethernet communication between KPA and his pedalboard.
It would be wonderful if an owner of the pedalborad put the WireShark sniffer between the two to show some data on that communication. -
Hi!
First of all: sorry for my bad english.
I am starting my project pedal. For now, he must operate just in perform mode.
I plain to do something like this:
[Blocked Image: http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x47/paco_reina/FootControler_zps3cqk7nqo.jpg]">[Blocked Image: http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x47/paco_reina/FootControler_zps3cqk7nqo.jpg]The five little LCDs will show te name of the slot, and the big one the name of the rig.
Daltona or Smfelton, My first dude is:
in the ethernet connector, Witch pin is the power+, the power-, the midi in, the midi out? and How many volts and amps can give me the Kemper? Thanks a lot

Ack! I spent a couple hours trying to conjure up a wah as well. Not claiming these settings are optimum, just that it's sensible with an M-Audio EX-P Expression Pedal. Also experimented with using a tip-and-sleeve Line6 expression pedal for this purpose, (their Stompbox Modelers use these for wah) but to no avail. Stick with the Roland (Type 1) or Yamaha (Type 2)-style TRS expression pedals.
