My KPA usually has a USB drive inserted - does no harm.

Yep, I think I got it. But if you agree on the convenience of having a wiki anyway, how much of information is contained there becomes secondary, I guess.
It would be great to have a single, online source of information where we could find everything is related to the Profiler, manuals included!
I'd do it, if I had the resources X)
Agree! As far as how much information is in the wikpa, as you say, that is secondary. I'd just like to see much better manuals that contain more detailed information. But, clearly, that's just IMO...
I think you misread my post; I wrote "so that much of the need for Wikpa.org is eliminated", not "all" of the need is eliminated. As you said, the manuals will never contain all of the information in the wikpa so there will always be a need for the wikpa. But I do think that a lot of the information in the wikpa should be in the manuals (IMO, the KPA manuals are somewhat weak and poorly organized).
I hope that:
1) Kemper improves their published documentation so that much of the need for Wikpa.org is eliminated; and
2) Kemper adds a Wiki section to this forum and, with the authors' permission, incorporates the Wikpa.org contents into it and maintains it (and user submissions should be welcomed)
Your link doesn't work - it's displaying a "Error 404 - Not found" message...
A $59 Morley ABY pedal should do the trick: Morley ABY Pedal (Sweetwater)
If there were required maintenance Kemper would have stated as much in the manuals (and it would be very conspicuously stated).
My experience is similar to yours OP. I have an older (1996) Fly, and I even replaced the pickups with DiMarzios. Never got the tone I wanted out of it through other rigs, both tube and digital. Sounds very nice through the KPA/CLR though!
So there are really two questions here:
1) What to purchase in a lower price category? I'd suggest an HD500X, used or new.
2) What sound amplification to use for low volume? Unfortunately, I think you need to spend money here... IME, the active CLR is the best I've ever used at low volumes. And I recently tried my HD500 through the CLR and it sounds pretty darn good (make sure to use the HD500's Studio/Direct system output setting and don't use the "Pre" models because you need the cab sims to be enabled). You could also try a PE60 instead of a CLR; many people like them and say they've had good results with them.
HTH!
I'm also in the "huh?" category regarding rude/insulting posts in this thread. I really don't understand what sparked lasvideo's response...
Anyway, I've got a JP6 w/piezo and the neck definitely took some getting used to, especially since I don't usually play wide-thin necks. That said, after I did adjust to it I really like it - and it does sound great through the KPA (and having the acoustic piezo sounds really makes the guitar quite versatile).
I would like 5 switches for effects (pre or post), 5 performance slot switches, 2 for performance bank up/down, 2 more switches that I can assign to anything (tuner on/off, tap tempo, etc.), and two CC pedals.
I am far more concerned about functionality than I am about size (e.g., the FCB1010 is perfectly fine for me even though it is wide).
Have you tried emailing them?
We'll see as soon as the manual will be out ....
Since it's all software it should be easy to implement some basic Midi features - if the device has any Midi out's.
Yes, you are right . it's a great effect unit anyway - but would be a killer for the KPA (with Midi out).

I'm using an old Line 6 FBV Longboard bag - fits the FCB1010 perfectly! You might be able to find one used at a good price.
But one of these SKB soft cases would work nicely too: SKB MIDI Foot Controller Soft Case

EDIT: I just noticed that this is the same bag that GaryM posted!
Haha, what a bunch of morons. ...
"I love the album, but would be way better without the typical AX FX tone" - good reason. Actually, wait... it is recorded on Kemper
Besides, what exactly is "typical" AFX (or KPA) tone anyway?
the kpa is not a tube amp, what a discovery!.....same it is not an LCD TV....
But it is a toaster!
Looks like they want to compete with the Line 6 Pod HD market.
Nope, the new Fractal effects floorboard (FEF?) doesn't have any amp/cab modeling. Effects only.

It looks like a very nice, well-built unit. Might be a great companion for the KPA, depending on price of course.
Better make sure that the bet is between his mic'd Rockstar combo and a profile!
FWIW, I believe it's delay that has modulation. And IIRC it can be turned off.
