>> Can you bypass the preamps in the xlr inputs if I'm using an external preamp for vocals?
No, you can't, but according to RME: While there is no physical bypass, at 0 dB gain, signals are not affected by the presSome info here: http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=17825

I also just registered!

For home use, I have the monitors behind me and a CLR in front.
That puts me in the dead smack in the center of a Triad of Awesomeness -
I can see the benefits to both options for autoload, but I like the earlier firmware/the proposed change better: staying on the same slot when going up/down in the performances.
My performances are set up similar to Ingolfs - from slot 1: clean, progressively crunchier in slots 2,3,4 and leads in 5.
Going up/down in the same slot makes it easier since I would know what to expect.
Going from slot 3 to next slot 3 would be a different flavor of a medium-crunch setting.Granted that doesn't necessarily work for those that use the performances on a song-by-song basis - with a large variety of sounds due to the set list - but I can get through 80% of a set using 3 perf banks.

How does it sound with headphones via the headphone out?
Also, does you guit have active pups with a low battery?

I could pretty easily get used to CK's option 2.
Up Down I II III IIII
1 2 3 4 5 TapUnless the KFC is bigger than I'm picturing it, you might need to have teeny feet to do the Up/Toe, Slot1/Heel thing
However, Up/Toe then Slot1/Toe are two easy taps most people are accustomed to doing. -
This is an outstanding batch of profiles!
I like the A/B/C variations - nice little tweaks to the base sound - sometimes I liked all 3, sometimes I preferred one over another.Oh, and I also found I liked the Definition a little lower when demo'ing the sounds (Jackson SL1H), but I'd probably put it back up a smidge when tracking.
Great job, Till!

Very nice!
This'll be a big help. -
Great Pack, Lasse.
Very useful stuff ! -
Aw, man!
I filled out the survey last week and was going through the amps, but work got in the way and I figured I had time anyway.Bummer.
Oh well, maybe next time. -
Also consider the Northern Gateway profiles - they are very good for the heavy stuff

Nope.
I've been on the CLR list since April 11 -
Yeah, me too - I don't want to keep emailing to see what the status is, but I hope we get some indication that we're a month out or two months out or whatever.
-
Just picked up this pack and I'm liking these profiles a lot - excellent job!
Really solid stuff you've got here.Looking forward to Round 2!

I hope I'm in that group ...I reserved on April 11.
But yaa, I didn't get a response either and had to email Tom a couple weeks later to make sure he rec'd the reserve request.
